Cleaned up the front end on my FLTRXSE by removing the chopped engine guard. Installed black Ciro floorboard hwy mounts. High quality parts appear rock solid when mounted to frame. This is a great option for those of u that don’t drop ur bike or previously installed Kuryakyn Floorboard Hwy mounts on other bikes but unable to run with the defiance boards on CVO.
Definitely less bulky & easier to stretch out. I dig it. Two thumbs up

Really like the look of those boards. Saying the bike will never be dropped has to be a jinx though.

Sure hope that you never need it. That's one thing I would never think about removing. Just my. 02. Stuart

Nope, looks nice but, I am not one of those people who are never going to drop there bike. Pretty sure you jinxed yourself with that statement.

only way to not drop your bike is to not ride it IMO..

looks good.... I like it, and did you add/change something around the head light ?? :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Does the crash bar have to be removed? I just bought a set of those was not aware of that have not got them yet!

Nice job, they look good.... I realize you have removed the engine guard (your bike, your choice, not knocking it) however would these fit if you had kept it?

Not sure if the engine guard has to be removed to install these. As I removed mine prior to mock up. I’d say you won’t have to with full size...but the chopped guard is closer to boards and would be tight fit due to angle.
verify with Darren at Ciro prior to install.

You do not have to remove the engine guard to install they Ciro highway pegs. They include a front floorboard mount that replaces the stock front floorboard mount. I have embedded a video on the install that was made by Law Abiding Biker.
My concern would be that aggressive riders, who scrap their floorboards, are going to scrap the front mount. And the front mount doesn't fold up like floorboards, it's rigid. I think this will increase the likelihood of crashes by aggressive riders.
Check out the video and see if you agree or disagree with me.

I would not have an issue removing my engine guard. I done that on other bikes.
I would have an issue with those mounts, look like they will hit ground before the floor boards do. That would be an issue as they will not fold up a little like the boards do for a warning before hard parts drag.
