Title: Porting a throttle body

I was wondering if it is possible to Port the Harley 50mm throttle body that is cable operated?

I believe that some of the older Throttle Bodies can be ported you would be best to contact one of the members/vendors here to get the real answer. Good luck!

If my memory serves me right, I think the 50 mm TB's pre-2011 could be bored and ported. After that I think they were to thin. HPI used to do this service I think, don't know if they do it anymore.
Why not just consider a new HPI unit to the suggested size?

That might be the best option Mr.Warlock. I'm having the heads done up with a port and polish, with valve work and new guides. I figured might as well bump up the air going to the heads but I don't think a 58mm is a good go might be to big as Im running a 211 cam.

 on my 13, had Tman do the heads and he port matched the Tbody to the heads, it still had stock blade... it ran very well. later on I went to a 58 and only gained 4 hp 3 tq . just throwing that out there as a option

Dan Vance Racing does Bore out and port the  HD SE50mm TB to 54mm, $300.

For not much more, you can have an HPI. And they are Soo much prettier.
