Ok...I’ve been out of the cvo game for awhile. I have my 2005 flhtcse2 and enjoy it. Don’t ride as much as I used too, kids and all. But retirement is right around the corner. I have a chance to pick up a 2016 flhxse with 2500 miles black carbon color. I Know the owner and he recently passed away and his wife is stuck with the bike. I have another house in az and would like a bike out there. She’s willing to let me have it for 23000. I really don’t need it. But if it’s something I’ll regret later not jumping on. I’m eventually gonna get a bike for out there. With it not being the Milwaukee 8 is it something I may regret later? Thanks for letting me pick your brain.

You'll pay $20k more for the same thing in a M8. Looks like a great deal to me, and it was a buddies bike as well? Nice!
-
ebb lists trade in value at $25,000 and retail at $30,350. it was a buddies bike, you know the history, it's a great deal, and you'll be able to always have your bud 'riding' with you. i think you'll regret it if you don't buy it.

Amen to what both Ray and scratch stated above. Get it, ride it and don't look back.
Besides, the "having your buddy's bike" aspect and assisting his widow with the sale and knowing it went to a friend would trump quite a few other things... :2vrolijk_21:
Plus, it's a twin cam and with you already familiar with their operation, easy-peasy...

As everybody above has already said.....don't pass this up. It's a good deal and you know the history.
-
I would buy it for that, and I already have one, good price!
-
That's a great price I would jump on it. It's a completely different ride than a SEEG. You'll love it.
-
Johnny are you still with us??
-
Thx for the feedback. I’m hoping to try and get out to her Wednesday or Thursday. The bike is 3 hours from me. I think I’m gonna regret it if I don’t jump on it.
-
We all love pictures... these are the only shots I have of the bike at this time .

As others have mentioned you should get this bike... if your friend had a favorite/special bandana or something you can put on the bike so he can still ride w/you would be a way of honoring him and allowing him (in spirit) to continue riding... price is right, and to honor him is priceless.

I'd say go for it. A few years ago a friend in our group lost a really good friend of his and the widow offered his Harley to our friend. He jumped at it knowing it would help out the widow and he knew how the bike was taken care of. He also and in memory of pinstriped on the bake fender to pay respect to his lost friend.

Well it came home with me. Boy is it different from my 2005. I’m gonna have a lot of questions with the new tech!

I think it is great that you got it!

Well since I'm late to the party I'll say congrats instead of "I'd jump all over that deal if I were you"! Nice you know the history and it's barely broke in with that mileage ... and just like drugs I say no to the new M8 anyway.
