Title: Tour Pak Lighting 2012 CVO FLHXSE3
Post by: joe98 on March 16, 2019, 02:52:13 PM
Good afternoon everyone,

Got a couple of questions regarding LED lighting and what options are available for me.  The bike in question is a 2012 CVO Street Glide.  I'm not the original owner, but it came with many options.  One of those being the chopped tour pak.  The bike is the " Dark Slate metalic/Black Diamond color combo.  I'm not 100% sure if I have the " King Tour Pak or Chopped ".  The paint scheme on the tour pak is the two tone Dark Slate/Black Diamond.  However,  I do not see any Ghost Flame graphics on there of any kind, just the two colors of paint.  Also, I don't think it's as tall as a King Tour Pak.  My question is:  what are my options for lighting ?  Can any kind of light bar be added to my tour pak ?  I saw on Custom Dynamics web site they have a really nice kit, but I believe it was for 2014 -up models.  My chopped tour pak does'nt have any kind of luggage rack on it.  Just curious as to how it all works, being a detachable item I guess there are wiring kits/pigtails that have to be added ?   Any pics and suggestions of members bike with similar bikes such as mine would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Have a good weekend...

I would go with a battery operated LED light of some sort and not mess with a wiring harness at all unless you already have wiring for speakers or exterior lighting.

Just my $.02

Thanks for the replies fellas, much appreciated.  Still got lots of other things to take care of first.   Got my my Fullsac DX pipe last week along with TTS Mastertune, and 2” cores.  That’ll be top priority, so ligh5 can wait ....
