Title: 2014 or 2015
Post by: muddypaws on March 30, 2014, 08:16:35 AM
Looking to replace my 2012 CVO Ultra. The site has been pretty quiet so does that tell me the few problems are all fixed and people are happy with their bikes? Being so close to the 2015 coming out should I wait?

If it were me, I would wait. Gives you the option of possibly buying a 14 at a lower price (leftover or end of year) or seeing if the 15's have something you like better.

I would also wait.   Won't be too long now.  Usually August.

I would wait as well. I would rather buy something that is good to go then buy a first of anything that they had to work the bugs out on......

I'm also not really into the 14 colors...

I would wait as well...the 110 has now been out for 8 years (which is "long in the tooth" for any engine) and the Rushmore, high output 103 has "raised the bar"...plus Indian's stock engine size is 111, so Indian has "thrown down the gauntlet" and Harley will respond sooner or later. :)

Then a Harley is probably not it. I have owned 6-8 brand new HDs and all of them had a recall or two. If I wanted "perfect" I buy a Goldwing.  :2vrolijk_21:

Muddy, you might want to hang on to that one as it seems to be increasing in value!  What I mean is that we just got back from visiting wife's relatives in southern MS and coming home we pass right by the 'new' Southern Thunder H-D in DeSoto county MS, just south of Memphis.  So we stop in just for a quick look see and what is right out front but a pre-owned 2012 O&B CVO Ultra just like yours and mine with a price tag of - get this - $34,999.  And it had 46k on the clock!  Holy Custom Vehicle Operations Batman I'll sell them mine cheap enough to let them make a good profit and I'll still be smiling all the way to the bank.  Oh, wait.  I forgot it doesn't work that way does it?  They get yours for a song and a dance and sell it for an exorbitant price.  I thought the new owner might be a little more accommodating than the Rossmeyer family who owned it previously.  Guess not.   :nixweiss:

Oh I agree but we where talking built quality and first time pass here. Any Japanese bike beats HD in that.

HD is great to ride and fun, but that is not what the post was about.

Perfectly BORING!

OMG ! that's whole season

decision depends on whether you have a cool bike now or not,   if you have '13 you propablly can wait   but if you have .......Goldwing.......... better not wait ( no one watns to be bored :huepfenlol2:)
