07 SEUC with Rinehart 2-1
« on: January 14, 2007, 08:33:25 PM »

Here is a pic of my bike with the new pipe and AN Big Sucker and PCIII.
Bike runs great with this combo and really needed it from the stock gear!

Looks good [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Did you have it dyno'd or use a canned map?

I have a canned map on there now that runs the V&H Pro-Pipe and this thing doesn't skip a beat.  Dyno is in the near future to get its own personal map.

That is an awesome looking pipe, the sound byte on their website has a good low rumble to it, does the pipe sound as good as anticipated and does anyone know if there are any plans for a matching ghost pipe?

Gregg,
this pipe sounds really good and is very mellow with a deep tone.  Nothing like the True Duals I had on my Road King Classic.  I won't be putting a ghost pipe on because I don't want to add anymore weight to the bike.  Although If I can hollow one out to make it nice and light, that may be a consideration.  If you are thinking about going with this pipe...GO FOR IT!!  No fitment issues at all, went on smooth as silk!!!  Use lots of WD40/PB Blaster on removing the stock parts and putting the new parts together.

Tim

Thanks for the info, I prefer the balanced look of twin pipes but I also love the authoritative look of that 4.5” monster.

I have gotten alot of questions over the past few days of riding with it if I was going to add the ghost pipe or not.  I have a friend with an 07 Street Glide who went with the D&D 2-1 pipe and his bike absolutely flies, along with other mods too.  The numbers are in the 2-1 and I just had to take the plunge on this scoot.

Great minds think alike [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  I have been running mine for about 7 months and they sound better with age!

I don't think Rinehart has a ghost pipe for this set-up.

No they don't.  Spend the money you save on a chrome belt guard cover and sprocket.  It does stand out with the left side pipe missing

Do you guys know what the performance difference is between the V&H Pro Pipe and this one ? i really like this pipe and glad to hear I don't have to run out and get it re dynoed right away, BUT I don't want to lose any HP or TQ .

Thanks

Fred,
My Rinehart 2-1 got a nice red cap after 3K miles.  I had the Big Sucker and PCIII with a real close map and it really needed to be dyno tuned properly.  Unbalanced has 2 buddies running this pipe with great results.
I ended up going with the TMAT/Speedys High Flow A/C/FatCat with Ghost.
I hope that helps out,
Tim

I have a friend that has one and the same thing happened with the cap turning red, It doesn't look bad. Bet it even looks better on a red bike. I'm just wondering about the difference in TQ and HP between RH 2-1 and the VH 2-1.
I just have the HD RT and HD Air Cleaner with 211 cam, I really don't want to lose any of the 106, 115 HP and TQ that I have now.

I don't want to buy one if I will lose power.

You have some real good numbers there, I wouldn't change a thing on your bike!

I know it is a crap shoot, I usually change my pipes every couple of years, getting a different sound seems like riding a new bike to me. You would think that RH making a 2-1 would compete with the Thunder Header or VH 2-1.

I will check with my Dyno guy and see what he has to say.

Thanks

If the caps become discolored, Bub (Rinehart) will replace them.
