looking for a BETTER sound!

Has anyone used the CFR slip-ons? Trying to find a "Great" medium sound improvement for my 2016 CVO Road Glide.

I had CFR's on my last bike, they are loud, rob low end torque, and are harder to tune. Check out Fullsac and look at the cores. You can recore your slipons, have the factory look and get the sound you want. I went with the 2" on my 15 CVO and very happy with the tone.

Your question is very subjective as to "sound".........

I would suggest getting whatever sounds good to YOU. Seems a lot of people like "loud" Is that what you refer to as "great"? My "medium" may be your "quiet".....see what I mean?
Be aware that any changes you make to intake or exhaust MAY have an affect on your drive-ability.

We have some in our club with those CFRs and I don't have a problem with their "sound"...they are always behind me anyway.

Yep, that was a dumb way to ask the question...
It's just that I have done all the loud s..t during my younger years, big differences between bar hoping and x-country riding ya know! But I still need more real Harley "deep throat" sound than what stock pipes give me.

I edited your post above to pull your comments out of the quote.

I was where you're at (or very close to it).  I run a Thunderheader on several bikes over the years but now wanted something that sounds like a Harley but can still hear the stock stereo on my Ultra Classic and talk to my passenger without getting horse throat.  But my primary goal was just to do something about the heat under my thigh when riding in triple digits.

Here's my report.....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=101223.0

I agree with GMR,  your sound choice is just that. Every guys got an opinion.   I can respond and say my buddy had a set on his street glide and yes, they were loud !!.  If you like having your ears ring once your off the bike for a few hrs then go with them. Happy hunting and  good luck with your choice

Thanks to all!!
I've made the decision about the "Sound", Fullsac with a Harley race tuner.

Thanks for all the good info, now it's the wait!

You have made the wise choice going with Fullsac!

It maybe to your advantage to go ahead and get a TTS Turner from Steve
while your ordering your current stuff.

Free maps and tech support! Won't happen with the Race Turner.

Good luck.
