Jerry, while I agree with you on design is to get wet, not sure the design intended for a pressure washer to be turned directly on the instruments and seals. Just a guess but could also be a bad weather seal. Hopefully dealer will resolve the issue and have a few words with his wash crew.
Ron, while I agree it isn't a brilliant idea to use a pressure washer to clean a bike, I don't remember anyone saying the dealership actually used a pressure washer in this instance. So far I've never seen a wash jockey in a bike dealership using a pressure washer, but considering the quality of the staff in many Harley dealerships I'd never say it never happens.
There are a lot of reports on various forums since the 2014's came out with failures of the left and right switch modules failing after being caught in the rain or after being washed normally. There are also more than a few reports similar to this one, with problems in the infotainment system or gauges after getting wet. Thus my previous post, since this kind of lousy product design and quality irritates the chit out of me.
