2016 or 2017???
« on: June 17, 2018, 11:08:00 PM »

So I like the red ones, only ones I’m interested in.  I greatly prefer the red/chrome on the 2016, but I know the engine and suspension upgrades of the 2017 are worth considering.  I can get a 2017 red/black with matching king TP and the sissy bar for 27k, very low miles.  I’m finding about the best I can do on a 16 red is 26k with 5-8k miles and no extras (maybe slip ons).

I’ve had a 110 before, cams, exhaust, tune and I was satisfied with the engine.  The M8 I’d just do exhaust and tune.

The only reason I haven’t bought the 17 already is that I don’t like blacked out bikes.

Can anyone think of a definite reason to go one way or the other besides my paint preference of the 16’s?

Engineering over cosmetics. What more needs to be said?

The M8 is a stronger engine, with more torque down low.  My 17 CVO Street glide with just fullsac baffles had 1 foot pound and 1 HP more torque than my 15 with the 110 did with a completed fullsac exhaust including head pipe, and a tts tuner and a Good dyno tune.

I have both a 110 CVO and a 18 CVO in my garage.  I much prefer the new engine.
