New S&S CAm Plate & Oil Pump for M8
« on: June 25, 2018, 06:46:38 PM »

Oil Pump & Cam Plate for M8 powered HD® models.

Oil is often referred to as the lifeblood of an engine and getting it in and out of the right places at the right times can be a matter of life or death for internal components. This is where S&S steps in with our proven dual scavenge pump technology in a brand new design for the M8 drivetrain. Independent scavenge sections for flywheel cavity as well as cam chest combine to create a superior tool for distributing oil throughout your engine, debris screens and a powerful magnet keep the flotsam from following it. Increased flow capacity on both feed and scavenge side as well as adjustable pressure relief valve are all designed to keep lubricant flowing throughout your engine under even the most extreme conditions. Matched to the billet aluminum S&S cam plate and you’ve created the perfect combination of oil management in the M8 powered touring or HD® Softail® model.

Mo Blue is Mo better. Hope this setup helps those having sumping issues. To bad something that pretty hides on the inside.

I think we all can agree by now that the sumping problem isn't just an oil pump issue.  All the changes to the oil pump were just Harley trying to find a band-aid to cover up the real problem.  I've seen no indication that any of the aftermarket oil pumps will somehow magically fix the root cause of the problem, as the folks from Fueling were claiming previously.  Will the two separate scavenging circuits help?  Very possible, but I still don't think I'd recommend people throw down a pile of money for this system in the "hopes" of fixing a sumping issue.  I think I'd like to see some actual proof.  I know, that's a much too radical approach.  Let's just keep on spending a lot of money out of our pockets to try to fix Harley's problems, since that approach has worked so well for all these years. ;)

Not only that, but if the bike is still under warranty and an aftermarket pump is installed - and sumping occurs later, one can be assured HD isn't going to accept responsibility - they'll deny warranty coverage, citing the aftermarket pump.

I guess if you subscribe to the warranty with these you can be assured of nothing but delays and heart ache . Chrome cub holder installers that cant set tire pressure correct sure are NOT going to be pulling my motor apart. Now it's apart let it sit in a filthy shop wide open to ellement with a rag over it.😂  No thanks.....already knew when I bought it desgard the warranty just like I do all my expensive race car motors.  A good competent engine builder will have you up and running in 2 weeks never to have a problem again.......oh and not BSed into believing you just got the newest and greatest .
I for one have corrected more Twink problems with and S&S pump and trust them as they don't rush out to be the first.   But good luck to the warranty crowd it looks like it's working well😬

Spot on Jerry.  Spot on.

You can add to that they now have thrown warranty out the window.
