« on: July 02, 2018, 01:35:18 PM »

Ride out to the North Sea coast with the wife. The first long run after the motor work I did we got there and back with no issues. Motor run great the gear box shift smooth as licking dairy ice cream

Spent the day laying back on the beach in the sun

That's a good ride not only to clear the cobwebs but to check out the maintenance.  Glad you had no leaks and it ran much better, Pete.  Thanks for the pictures....looks like y'all have windmills on your side of the pond, too.

I was following your thread on the rebuild....I know you are glad it's completed... :)

Glad your bike is running well.  Looks like a fun day to be at the beach!

Hi Howard,
You sure got that right on being glad the build is completed. At the end of the day it worked out.

I've got to speak with HD tomorrow, before I took the motor apart I was having intermittent stalling.

It did it a couple of times again today. Got no codes coming up so I think it's going to have to have a diagnostic check. I think it may be leaning towards the VSS that may be not giving the right input for the idle speed control.
I've had the TPS out when it as apart and gave it a good cleaning along with all the other intake body sensors but it didn't help sitll wants to stall the odd time.
It's not a big deal annoying more than anything don't know when it's going to happen.

Was a fun day 👍

Thanks on the bike it is running great. But got a sensor problem when stopping wants to stall. That's outside of the motor work.

Best of luck on getting the stall sensor diagnosed/fixed.  Sometimes when one thing goes wrong, something unrelated pops up for no reason at the same time.
