Front Speakers Not Working After Detachable TP Removal
« on: March 08, 2019, 12:52:49 PM »

I purchased a 2006 Cvo Ultra with a detachable tour pak. When I unplug the amp to remove the tour pak my front speakers no longer work is there something else I have to do to make them work besides relocating the amp.

I am no expert, but pretty sure rear AMP is passed through to front in HD set up. Think you need new wiring harness to complete

I believe this is true..You need the amp to complete the circuit. Some relocate the amp. I was thinking of a removable TP until I learned I would have to relocate the amp to be able to use the stereo.. To me it wasn't worth the headache.. So I left the TP on.... 8)

You can relocate the amp or make a plug to put into the harness when the amp is disconnected. The plug would have the jumpers in it that will complete the circuits for the fron t speakers to work.

I asked the service guy at the HD dealer how to get it to work he went and asked a tech who told me to just unplug the front speakers from the amp under the fairing and plug the other wires into the speakers and it worked.
