Hadn't heard of these before but I believe you are talking about this - Aquatic AV’s Harley Stereos product? Have you tried looking at that website for support/technical information... I noticed the following video on that site that might help...

Also might help if you be more specific of what assistance you are looking for... "how to get sound out of it" is ambiguous.

we're gonna need more info.  what year/bike do you have?  what kind of setup are you trying to install?  which aquatic radio?

in my case, the radio itself (AQ-MP-5UBT-H) was a very simple plug and play hookup.  I replaced the fairing speakers with a set of hat speakers.  I ran a rca cable from the aquatic to an external amp.  if you aren't running an amp, do you have the internal amp turned on in the setup?

You will need to remove the stock amp from under the tourpack and the "Overlay Harness" from the bike in its entirety to use the AQ radio.

I didn't remove the harness.  but I did tape the plug up out of the way.  this way, if I sell the bike, I can easily replace the aq with the stock radio.  for my 2013, one plug on the back of the radio covered all the amp/speaker wiring, while the other covered the handlebar switches.  so I plugged that one in to the aq to retain the handlebar switch control, but then everything beyond that point is 'external' to the bike.

The 06 used CVO Ultra used a completely different harness and amp than the 13 did, You can leave the harness on the bike bike if you wanted but it has to be completely disconnect and the speakers connected into the standard harness.

Back in the day there were several threads on this issue, most had to do with tour pack removal but there is info on the amp and overlay harness as well

I am in the same situation. I started this installation today and found a similar road block. I have a 2011 CVO SG that I’m attempting the same scenario. I have the AQ-MP-5UBT-HS.

Would I be correct in assuming that the second connector (the one on the right in the photo) is part of the overlay harness? I’m willing to replace and/or bypass the amp if that's required to get my tunes working again. If I can get the Aquatics AV working with the internal amp that would be ideal. I just don’t know where to start or how to bypass the overlay harness. I have also sent an email to Aquatics requesting assistance.

Skratch, so you utilized the RCA connectors on the right rear of the AQ? Did you change your amp, use the stock amp or just bypass it altogether? Thanks

Okay, thanks! What are the stats on the amp you’re using? How many channels are you using, watts, ohms, etc.

I’m using this set up and I have a Rockford amp with speakers
   4 channels  2 ohms

Is it correct that the stock speakers in the 2011 CVO are 1 ohms?

Lol. Tbh idk but the best thing I’ve done was install after market speakers

in the 2013, the stock speakers are 1 oh.  replaced them with a set of component hat's to utilize the tweeter holes in the fairing.  used a kenwood 4 channel amp in bridged mode which gives me 150watts per channel into 4 ohm.

Yes I got Rockford’s I love them all and all you’re lookin at around 400-600 maybe cheaper I just really wanted the aquatic radio to work
