Vance and Hines
« on: April 19, 2007, 11:27:52 PM »

I have a new 2007 SERK and am thinking about putting a Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Pro Pipe BP on it.  Has anyone here installed this exhaust system?  If so, what has your experience with it been?  How loud is it (I don't want TOO loud)?  I had Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes on my Deuce and it was louder than what I am looking for on the Road King.

Also, where is the best (cheapest) place to buy Vance and Hines?

Cheers!

Had this system on my Heritage, before getting the FLHRSE3.

Really liked it.  Seat of the pants performance bump.  Lusciously deep exhaust note at idle and at mellow cruise.  There is a kind of hammering effect when under load or accelerating which I never warmed up to much, but overlooked it for everything else.

Can't help on performance or sound of pipes ( do have V&H true duals and oval slip ons and love the sound but not the most performance oriented configuartion!) but many people on this site including my self have had good luck at following e-store (usally get 20% off, during specials even more!):
