Yea, if we'd have known you were coming to Sacramento.......we'd of had the official Nor Cal welcoming committee here to greet and meet.

Sorry JCZ, I was visiting a friend I worked with in South East Asia, didn't even get out of the neighborhood due to the  neighborhood Labor Day BBQ party, no motorcycle riding.

US 6 through Price UT. had some nice scenic areas, it has a river and rail line it follows so you get to see trains every once in a while.

Western Colorado looks similar to Utah along I-70.

The I-70 starts through the canyon along side the Colorado River.

Turned off of I-70 before Vail, I'm now on US 24 heading south. US 24 has a little marker stating it is a National Scenic & Historic Byway Top of the Rockies. Decided to stop in Leadville for the night The area has several views of 14,000 ft peaks and with the sun glaring in the camera I could not get any shots but this one. I should get a few tomorrow.

US 24 has 2 small areas where you ride on a hard packed dirt surface, F.Y.I. for anyone traveling this way.
