Fullsac X-Pipe or V&H Power Duals?
« on: April 25, 2010, 10:16:22 PM »

Well I just want to know if anyone knows what is better in performance and HP #'s on the Fullsac X-pipe vs the V&H Power Duals? What do you guys recommend for me to do. I am thinking if I don't do the D&D Fatcat I will do something like set up with the Bassani cone slip ons. I do like the look of the New Rineheart's set up with the new head pipe how it crosses over underneath but everyone on here says it is way to loud and wont I lose performance in a true dual exhaust as well? Has anyone here put the new setup on there bike yet?
Thanks for any help :2vrolijk_21:

The power difference between the X-pipe and V&H will be negligible.  I would go with the ceramic coated X-pipe.  Regarding power, the best power is froma a two into one like the D&D's.  But bthey will be even loader than the true duals.  The 2-1-2 will offer a little better power than the true duals but I doubt it would be noticeable.

It is a preference between looks power and cost.  My buddy has the new D&D Fat Cat with the "quiet baffle" (which is still loud) but the performance is noticeable.  I have the cat less 2-1-2 Rineharts with a lot of quiet baffle material (installed when the pipes were new) from Fuel Moto added for noise.

Need a Stage I AC and a fuel management system.  With the X-pipe, I would go with Full Sac's TTS map.  Fule Moto has a Carbon Fiber Dyno tuned muffler that looks great but I have never seen one since it was recently introduced.

Not to highjack.  But I was wondering how much the x chamber really works vs the stock 2-1-2 chamber?
For those with the x-pipes of any brand do you feel an even flow out of both left and right exhaust or is like my catless 2-1-2 were the majority of the flow is out the right exhaust.

I've checked on my SESG with the power duals and I'd say it's pretty close to being the same amount coming out of the left as it is the right.

Significant increase in flow the cross under pipe is round as the stock being a flattend oval. The pipe is also a larger diameter.

flow on mine appears to be equal from each pipe.

Yes it is incorporated in the Power Duals just add the slip ons of your choice. ;D

I like the sound of the ceramic coating in the Fullsac unit but Haven't seen one physically to see if it
is closer in design to the stock pipe or the larger V&H crossunder.

V&H should consider the ceramic coating though? :2vrolijk_21:

I like the ceramic fullsac headpipe also. :2vrolijk_21:... I need to get one ordered and my factory stuffed up headpipe off.  I don't know if I can take that wimpy looking factory crossunder pipe though. 8)

Just ordered the power duals, can't wait to install!  I'll try first with my stock pipes and 1.75" fullsac baffles.  Tomorrow, I'll order the TTS Mastertune.
