Mr. Hubbard,
Just wunderin where Ole Maudie's power curve kicks in with those cams..

Yeah, 'er 'uh, 475wildey,
Oddly enough, ours are not that far apart, considering the spread in the duration of our Cams.  The RedShift 647's, have .264 duration, and .647 lift.  I consider my power curve to be between 4100 and 5100 rpm's.  Sorry I was so long getting back to you.  Just too damn busy, Man.  Later--HUBBARD

Hubbard,
I've got a hot rodded 95"
And now want to stroke it 103". In your opinion do I go for it and go 113?
Right now my build is
95 high comp 10.5 -1, Headquarters heads, SE 257 cams,PC111
Vance and hines True duals Zippers 50 mm TB,  102 hp and 100 tq.
My tech friend is trying to convince me to a 103 high comp build with
SE heads and leave my 257 cams in.Problem is i've done this motor twice
and have alot of money invested ,hate to just unbolt it to make room for a 120.

You can turn that  95 up quite a bit if you want. All you need is the right parts. Mine just turned 110 H/P and 108 T/Q while wet sumping and with NO TUNING!!!!!!! SO IT CAN BE DONE. The first thing you need to lose is those cams and your heads!!!!!

Yeah, 'er 'uh, 1bagger,
I can relate!  Once you've felt that throttle response from a Motor you've had built, or built yourself, you will never be the same.  There have been some good reports on the 113.  However, if I was going to split the cases anyway, I would go with a 120, and be done with it.  Just think, if you build a 113, and your not happy, because the thought of the 120 is after you like a snapping dog!  Don't think our thought patterns are as far apart on Horsepower, as we are, as the crow flies!  Go on, and get it over with.  I did, and don't regret one penny of it!  Later--HUBBARD

I actually like S&S and Zippers for Cams, the heads I like are done by hand in Flordia. They have reshaped and rewelded ports. They can produce over 130 H/P on pump gas. As far as headquaters goes nothing against them but why would I use their products when Zippers is 1 hour from me.

Only reason i didnt go to 120 was i already had the cnc htcc heads..imop not much point in splitting the cases and only going to 103 just do the 120 if you got the $$$ or atleast 113 ya  wont regret it...

Seems like I may as well get over it.
Looking like a 120.
Funny how the addiction takes hold. 883 no better get a 1200. Heck how about a big twin
88cubes that was fun for a season. Better get a big bore 95" and some mild(203) cams
good for torque. Another season goes by need more power High compresion pistons, heads
more agressive cams ,some tuning and a bigger throttle body. COOL for a season.
Heck how about a stroker 103 or maybe go for it and get a 113. And what do I get from my
" FRIENDS " ? Don't be a wuss go for a 120 and just get over it .
Thanks Hubbard. Consider it done. Don't need any alluminum siding on the house anyway.

You are correct on the duration. The lower duration is why the TQ number looks good. I am going to run a red shift 647 in mine when it goes back together.

This going to be Dannys baby. He is doing all of the spec work on this motor. I wanted to use the 657's. Also the heads that are sitting down there right now are not your normal run of the mill CNC go fast heads. Numbers are expected to be in the 130 range. We will see.
