Problems with dip stick

Has anyone experienced any issues with the dip stick being difficult to screw back in and wanting to cross thread. mine will not go in at all. I had to use a wrench to loosen it and this is the first time I checked the oil. Now it will not thread back on properly at all.

I have noticed that it takes some fiddling to get it to seat and screw down properly.  I just assumed it was the fact that the knob is recessed and high on the oil tank making it harder to get the threads lined up.....?  I can see how that could lead to cross-threading issues.

replaced with LED digital and it fit perfectly, must have just been a defective stock dip stick.

Boy, I hope those LED's sticks have improved.  I went through 5, yes, 5 of them under warranty on my 2008 FXSTC....they do look cool with the blue backlight...

LED Dip Stick!!!  >:( I know of 5 out of the last 7 at our club that have failed within 3 months! made in China Crap!!
