'Am thinking hard about putting the DD7 in my '09SERG and was wondering if anybody knows (or has done it) if the 6sp gearset from the '09 SERG will fit into the '05 SEEG??

What modifications (if any) are necessary??

I know that when we fit the SE 6sp gearset into the '01 FXDWG2 required a little grinding on the on the case (with the supplied template) and purchase the SE 6sp end cover.

Any help would be appreciated!

No. Many things changed with 07+ six speeds.

Baker makes a six speed that works on your bike. Buddy of mine had one installed a couple of months ago and likes it.

I have the Baker DD6 in my 04 Seeg.   Works great.   Very smooth too.

The gearset or the whole '07 + transmission won't work. Many many changes.

To me, the '05 SEEG really doesn't need another gear as I feel that bike is really dialed in from the Factory.

I just wanted something to do with the 6sp (besides ebay) if I put the DD7 in the '09 SERG
