Today I will be dropping the 19 off for its 15,500 mile service, and more warranty work.

Translation: I’m shopping for a 2020 model.

Not a chance for several reasons:
1.  No CVO Road Glide
2.  No CVO Road Glide Ultra
3.  No XM on CVO any more
4.  Continued de-content and cost increase
5.  Big slide in Quality.

WHAT!

 :o

The windshield :huepfenlol2: .

It didn't have a windscreen when I bought it.  Never had one.  Rode it a couple hundred miles right after got it running right and immediately decided I wasn't 23 anymore and I wanted a windshield.  The detachable kit I scored had a screen that was taller than I am in the saddle.  Riding in the daytime it wasn't that bad.  A few times after dark and once in the rain were as you'd expect though.  Was out again late last night.  When I got home had had enough of the reflections on the screen.  So this afternoon spent an hour carefully measuring and marking and double checking the shape followed by five minutes with a jigsaw and ten minutes with a sander.  Now it's like baby bear's porridge; just right :2vrolijk_21: .

No vent switches on any touring bikes. Only one fob on standard bikes. I didn't know that xm was gone. The new bikes look silly without the rear shift lever too. I have no idea what they are thinking.  :confused5:

They are thinking bottom line profit margins. Not customer retention nor care.

Hope to finish wrapping 1/2" ceramic blanket around my Vance and Hines baffles tonight. True Duals. Front pipe went pretty well. Rear pipe doesn't have a rear support bracket before the muffler, so getting that muffler off took some time. It finally slipped off after pushing the loosened clamp forward off of the muffler flare. Hope this deepens the tone a bit. The SERK ran pretty well 1800 miles from Maryland down to Tenn, KY and to Maggie Valley 2 weeks before the CVO party. Lots of nice roads down there. Bobarosa Saloon is becoming a regular stop each year as well! Meeting up with the same friends mid October near Roanoke for a 4 day ride.

Changed the oil after the MV GTG then yesterday changed the grips to the Kahuna Chrome version like were on some 2019 CVOs. I guess I should not have felt up Gary Linkmeyers grips at MV.....

Waiting on the American Elite front tire to come off backorder to swap out both front and rear. Ive got 13500 miles on the rear and its starting to get a little cupped and squirrely in turns with any type of groove in the pavement.....

Well Keith

I think I did actually feel yours up too. :-\

I also got tired of waiting on the front tire to come in and had the new rear installed yesterday. American Elite, again, since I got 13500 miles out the last one and it was really getting bad. Both sides worn just past the wear bars...

Went with no weights and 3 oz of Dynabeads this time...The ride back to the bunker was SMOOOOTH and I cant wait to get the 21500 mile stock front tire off it.
