A 02 FXDWG3 (navy) showed up on my local stealers floor. It has only 1,050 miles and is mint condition. Only modification is V & H pipes. They are asking 18K. I am not parting with my 05 SEEG but just looking for something very different to enjoy with my mood swings. Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure, so someone might jump in and disagree, but I believe even though the red one was more sought after, there were fewer of the blue one's made so that would have an effect on the value. Also, if memory serves, they are only an 88 inch motor as opposed to a 95 inch which they went to with the 03 Duece so that would be a consideration if you are looking for something light and quick I've said this on other threads, but it bears saying again- - - - - the worth of something is what it's worth to you Do you want it ? Can you afford it ? If yes to both, then it's worth it to you BUT, it never hurts to try to get a better deal

They would look awful nice parked together in the shop/garage. And like spiderman said you don't see many blue ones. You can always do a 95in kits to give it some kick.

I've seen a bunch of the FXDWG2's and I'll admit the red is outrageous , but it only has the 130 out back. I've only seen two other blue FXDWG3's and everywhere I ride people comment on how pretty she is. I'm upgrading the motor , all parts are in so she will be an Screamin Eagle -> SE heads, Mik 42, 95 flat tops, Andrews TW31G -gear drive , Dyna TC88-2 ign then she will have plenty of GO and plenty of SHOW

This bike is not worth more than about $14k retail. The stealers are only giving $10-$12k on trades for these. Demand for them is very soft and they have not held their value well at all. They're nice, but you can get one much cheaper than $18k.

Try and build one with all the chrome.
I just saw a 85mile blue one go for $19,500.00.
My black 3 has 850 on it and I won't sell it for less than $19k.

When we got down to final decisions, they could not tell me what engine mods. had been made and where they were made. In fact there were quite a few conflicting information about the bike at the dealership. So I bought a 03 SE Duce w/ 1600 miles instead. But thanks for the input, I appeciate it. Just for the curious the 18K is a good price , I found the following out on the web this week:
2002 FXDWG3 $33,000 West Des Moines, IA
2002 FXDWG3 $17,999 Stillwater, MN
2002 FXDWG3 $24,900 Pharr, TX
2002 FXDWG3 $29,995
When I bought mine in Nov 04 there was one in Atlanta for 27,500 with 4400 and it sold
