Pull back drag bar opinions
« on: November 29, 2004, 08:11:56 PM »

I'm considering replacing the stock bars on my FXDWG3 for 2 reasons :
The chrome is peeling under the clamp
I want a more comfortable position .

I'm considering 2 alternatives :
Wild 1's WO500 CHUBBY

What's your riding position like now--stock? Seems the stock wide glide brought those handlebars right to you. The cvo pulls you more forward to grab?

I have to lean forward a bit , which was fine on my FXDX with mid controls. With the forward controls I'd like my upper body to be able to sit a bit more upright.  I measured the comfort zone last night sitting on it and the pull back on either would be ok .

I was looking at Deuce's when I bought this beauty and really liked the pullbacks on it .

I have Carlini Super Sweeps on mine. I'm 5'7" and they have the perfect pullback for me. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. I also bought the matching mini tach mount which looks great. They are 1 1/2 bars with internal wiring. Check them out before you decide everyone who has sat on my bike loves them. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip , I checked out thier ite last night.  I thought I'd try rotating the bars back as suggested by a few , and it actually works quite well . Only ridden a few miles this way but so far so good . Still like the drags for thier looks .
