They've been painting the CVO's as long as I remember hearing who painted them.  :-/  The earlier paint was exceptional, too bad this years is not consistent.   spyder

Sounds like a good approach MJ.  A fouled up or mismatched engine job is too big a deal to have to straighten out after fact unless the bike's price was much much better.

All I can say is the FXDWG2/3 are the best looking bikes HD ever made.

I've put 9000 miles on my FXDWG3 and love it more every day.
I frequently have people come up who comment on it , and love watching the heads turn in traffic.  She's a dream come true .. go for it you won't be sorry
