Title: Tires
Post by: Borderline on March 05, 2019, 09:34:38 PM
I've read a lot of great reviews about American Elite and Michelin Commander II tires. Checked both of their websites, and neither one lists them for 2008 SERK. Anyone here have any suggestions as to whether I can use any sizes other that stock without causing any issues with the ABS or any other problems? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately Harley's choice of oddball rim sizes leaves you with very few options, and neither the American Elite or the Michelin's come in sizes to fit those rims.  As noted by JKM, Metzler does offer stock sizes in both the M880 and the newer M888 Ultra series.  Pirelli is another possible option that offers 17" radial tires, but you need to make sure the tires they offer in your sizes have the same or higher load rating as stock.  If you don't want to use the Dunlop tires, your best bet will probably be the Metzlers.
