Guys on the RG forum said their prices went way up. Other options out there. Surdyke, New Castle...

I’ve been using New Castle a bunch.    Just got my painted headlight trim from them.

How does New Castle compare to Surdyke?  I’ve only used Surdyke in the past but their discounts aren’t what they used to be, they did away with giving gift cards based on order size and shipping is super-slow...usually takes a week before they even get it to the shipper.

I used to use Surdyke exclusively but now pricing is whatever is on their website with no exceptions. Sometimes it's better than 20% off but usually not quite. I still check before buying but as of late Reggie at Horny Toad has been awesome to work with but you need to CALL and ask for him.

Reggie left HT a few months back. I'll have to dig up the name of the dealer He's at now. HT no longer is giving discounts to people from the RG Forum.

*edit*, found the thread. As of Feb 8th, 2019, He is the new parts manager at Mobile Bay HD in Mobile, Alabama.

Not sure but their site is nice - Just plug in a part number and it gives you their price.  Once you add it to the cart and plug in your State and Zip it gives you the shipping.    Then you can decide if it's worth it.   Make sure you look at shipping though.   I have found on Inexpensive single parts it's cheaper to go local and pay retail.   On expensive parts the fact that there is no sales tax combined with the discount has saved me some big $$.

It's not a bad idea to check at least 3 sites each time you want to buy something, and check the full to your door price not just the listed price.  I've found more than one playing games in the past by posting a lower initial price than their competitors but hiding the extra charges until you go through the entire process with the cart, where they throw in high shipping and handling charges right before you click to buy.  If you buy a lot of stuff online you develop a feel for what are reasonable shipping charges and what are heavily padded shipping charges.

Surdyke and Newcastle charge shipping which comes out to be about the same as Boardtracker prices. No matter which one you shop it's still cheaper then any dealer prices out there.

I know shipping is free for orders over a certain amount (it changes but most of the time it’s $199) at Surdyke so if my order doesn’t meet the free shipping minimum, I’ll ask my riding buddies and we’ll come up with a group order large enough.  My gripe is how long it takes them to ship the order...most of the time it’s a week before they even send it to UPS then takes another 4-5 business days for UPS to deliver.
