Helen, GA and the area around it is a great place to ride...you are fortunate to be so close to this venue.

I ride up there about twice a month , usually up through Dawsonville. Dahlonega over through Turners Corner down 129 and in GA 75 the back way , dumps out just north of town to miss all the traffic.  If you take 129 over Blood Mountain and turn off to go towards Brasstown Bald , and then take a right on the Richard Russell Parkway ( 378?) it's a great road with very little traffic.  

Also go north out of Helen , up to Hiawassee is a blast . The whole area is full of great roads , we are blessed.
