Title: Chrome Switch Cap
Post by: ChromeDream on May 08, 2013, 04:48:48 PM
Hi all

Does anybody know the part number for the "Chrome Switch Caps"? My dealer couldn't find out, if there are already some available for the CVO Breakout.

Any help?

Cheers!

The 2013 Softail compatible Chrome Switch Cap Kit (71500110) [http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/switch-cap-kit] doesn't have the cruise control switch, and none of the sets with cruise control match the switches on the Breakout.

Is the CVO Breakout the only Harley with a single switch to operate the cruise control?  :nixweiss:

Hi, no the other one is cvo convertible 2012. Maybe you can buy the cruise control cover separately.

Just bought the chrome switch caps for the Normal softtail model, they are fitting but beware !!!! Removing the old switchcaps looks like a piece of cake (according to the description) but especially the removal of the Turn signal caps is very difficult, And you understand it , Murphy was there  :furious3: and I broke the pin of the Left switch module.
So I tought, it is only some plastic and a print board so I buy a new one.
That is definitely a no go with HD this part (Switch module left HDI part number 69200582) is costing 550 Euro/700 US dollars !!! :beatdeadhorse: So I am not a happy camper this weekend.

Title: Chrome control buttons
Post by: Joec410 on June 24, 2014, 10:52:42 AM
Has anyone installed chrome buttons on their controls?  If so do you what part number for the buttons that you used?  My dealer says there is no chrome buttons listed for the cvo breakout and I find it hard to believe that they made specific buttons for the breakout.

Thanks,

Joe

Old topic I know, has anyone fitted chrome turn signal extension caps. The parts man says there is no CVO BO extension kit listed.

The chrome turn signal extension caps (#71500178) work a treat, this is a must do mod for those that are challenged like myself.
