Well I did it!
« on: September 07, 2015, 07:52:48 AM »

A week ago Friday I took the day off and went shopping.

I had the same deal on a Blue one and a Red one at two different dealers.....

I went with the Blue 2015 Road Glide Ultra CVO.I traded in my 2015 Road Glide Standard. It is kind of weird
buying a bike and the only thing I had to buy for it was two red turn signal bulbs.I had a Clockworks windshield
and the Custom Dynamics front turn signals off my other bike.

I am new to the Harley world, buying a 14 Fat Bob in early 14 and then  15 road Glide last Feb.I have had a ton of metrics(baggers, sport touring and crotch rockets) and not really a touring "bike" guy....Wow,I was missing out.

I was looking at either throwing buckets of cash at my Road Glide or buying an Ultra Limited that I would still have to put some money into.....so I went with the "Screw it,you only Live Once"!

I love everything about the bike! I plan on keeping stock for now and if I end up keeping after a couple of years will do a couple things to change it up a bit.(solo it up, different wheels and lower it).

I have a trip to Kentucky in two weeks and a trip to NYC in 4 weeks.(from Michigan)

Congratulations on the new bike!  You made an excellent choice of motorcycle, if I do say so myself!

Very nice, major.  Congratulations!  Good choice on the color, too.     :2vrolijk_21:

Congrats I went from a 12 CVO Ultra to this about 2 months ago. Had it three weeks and left for a 2 week rode trip from SE Pa. To Sturgis and points beyond. A little over 6300 miles by the time we got home from interstate to mountain twisty roads and I have absolutely no complaints. These are great bikes.

I was torn between the red or blue, but being my other road glide was red,i wanted to change it up.Lets be honest, they are all cool looking.

The dealer is picking mine up tomorrow for the 1k check up.The weather didn't work in our favor so it took two weekends to get there.

I have owned a ton of bikes and this is the first bike that I rode and was comfortable right out of the box.It will be a tank to tank bike for sure, instead of a 100 mile run, time to take a break. I dont know how long a tank goes.,I dont know if my gas gage blows or its just a gas hog(no pun intended).

I had an 11 and I still have the Skunk but my 15 rules I went with the other color not mentioned. Fabulous ride and good luck with your decision.

It'll be a gas Hog for a few more thousand miles, then it'll settle down and just be pig.

Loaded heavy 2-up yesterday running mostly 60mph riding nice with the wind to our backs I was getting 44mpg per my Power Vision(my gas fill was exactly what it said I had used.)
Turned around and got 37mpg on the way home headed into the same wind.
