Anyone still using Glare?
« on: January 21, 2017, 11:03:50 AM »

Back in 2011/2012 Glare was the rage on this site.  I started using it and still like it.  I've got my bike all torn apart doing it's annual cleaning/detailing and will apply Glare again.  It works well for me and  makes my bike look like new.  But my OCD says there is always something better out there.  Is anyone still using it?

I still use it on all my bikes including vintage shovel. Makes them all look great.

Looks like good stuff, never heard of it. Is that a Viper I see nosing in on your business?

Chrome, definitely.

This thread is old so not sure if the discount code still works, but this has their website and gives you the general idea of the different product and steps:

Perry gets a little anal about using only Glare detailer and stuff like that (he's their sales guy ;)) but I've found that any detailer seems to work just fine, including the carnuba based ones like Honda polish or S100 detail spray.

Also, I've only ever used Knockout on some really neglected finishes.  I don't think you need that one for anything that's had a decent life of regular care.

You have to be careful what you say on this site, somethings may come back to haunt you.  Nice old thread and it's still all true.
Glare would really make that black bike snap. Let us know how you like it.

I've used Glare for ten years.  Great stuff.

Glare is still the best I have found. I have used it since 2010 and all the time checked for something better never have found anything better.

Very curious as to what you tried that you didn't think was better and why were they not at least equal if you based costs and results.
