Security siren ?
« on: April 15, 2018, 09:49:53 PM »

When removing the main fuse from a 2011 RG CVO, do you have to keep the ignition in the on position and have the fob handy to stop the siren from going off ? Also when reinstalling the fuse should ignition switch be on or can it just be put back in with switch off. Thanks

With fob proximate to the bike, turn ignition switch on. Then remove remove main fuse. You may then turn the ignition switch off and do whatever you need to do to the bike. Leave the switch off while reinserting the main fuse.

A technique I’ve used is after you turn the ignition on the security system will disarm. You can then turn the ignition off and quickly before the security system rearms pull the maxi fuse. It takes a couple seconds for the rearm so you have time to pull the fuse.

As many of us have learned (me included) if you don’t do this the siren will sound until its Individal battery runs down or you reinstall the maxi fuse and let the security system disarm.

Amazing how loud it is in an enclosed garage when you weren’t expecting it.
