2000 Ultra Classic Problem

Hey I’m having an issue with 2000 hd ultra classic  not starting I put screaming eagle adj push rods  hydraulic lifters chains tentioners  bearings etc I did as the book an instruction said it ran but not great so I started over with comp stroke front n back put the original pushrods back in bike started for a min now it pops through the breather n won’t start even with a touch of ether. It tries but has great spark gas hoses have pressure on them fuel pump seems just fine I did the straw truck so I would no when it popped out where I am so I’m a bit frustrated n havnt yet thrown any tools but have walked away from it any info would help plz n thanks scott

Something went wrong during the install. Take a compression test for more information and confirmation. I suspect bent valve(s)

Kinda was my thaught to  u wouldn’t happen to no what the pressure is suppose to b.guess il have to go get some heat out in garage n start looking into it thanks

Check your cam timing. Probably off a tooth. On pinion to rear cam and or front to rear cam.

Did you get the push rods in their proper place. Intake and exhausts may be of different lengths.

All good advice above (imo). Also, if the EX valve is not opening properly (compression test) it will pop
out the breather too.

Compression check first. Then go from there. Maybe a tooth off, or PR re-adjustment. is in order.

(JMO. But what do I know?) Generally, the compression should be around 150-180# give or take
depending on different things. Don't forget to hold the throttle open and disable the fuel pump
when doing it.

I watched a video on the solid pushrods I matched mine  up how they had there’s I’m thinking I mite have wnt past tdc I used a stew m when it piped out I did not on either cylinder back it up a luttle I’m gonna pull the chain cover again a start over making sure my Marks r on it’s frustrating the hell out of me thanks for the feedback
