Super-trapp SE',s
« on: May 20, 2007, 07:56:45 PM »

Considering installing the Supertrapp Se's on my 07 Serk and am looking for info on these as far as sound quality and loudness. As well do these slip-ons allow use of existing heat shields on stock muffler? Also going the PC route hoping the combination will reduce engine heat to a wothwhile degree. Any info would be appreciated as information on the manufactures website is definitely limited. They say these add almost 3db to stock pipes. Not sure what stock pipe they are referencing and 3 db equates to double the noise output. ???

I added them along with Power Commander to the wife's FLHRSE3 and she loves them, not to loud but has the Harley Sound. I purchased them and the Power Commander from Fuel Moto USA. Dyno at 95HP and 112lbs torque.

Many thanks for the reponse, ordered them today. Wondering if you can use the stock heat shields with them?

Serkcus, if you are referring to the SuperTrapp 65115s then these are exact same as the Screamin' Eagle 65115-98B that moco used to sell.  Had them (the SEs) on my '06 melon and yes, stock heat shields fit fine.
