Shovelhead any pictures of the big statue that you're talking about? Sounds like it's the size of Mt. Rushmore.......or even larger, Crazyhorse.

Thanks for the memories. I grew up not far from there and used to scamper all over the rock--legal boundaries or not. There's a patch of trees just to the left and up from the carving that was a favorite hangout on a summer afternoon--used to drive the park Rangers crazy! I think they're a lot tougher on that stuff now--some people have fallen and been killed, or just "stuck" up there and had to be rescued. Did the same thing on the back side--not as easily seen. Drank a lot of beer up there on hot July weekends.
