Injector flow rates are different as well as throttle body bore sizes.  A dyno would really be needed to dial it in.

Just sittin' here waiting on my black candy crimson and charcoal slate to get here.

Can't help on your question, but I'd like to know how your SE Pro Slip on mufflers sound - compared to stock as well as other aftermarket pipes you've heard?

I have put V&H ovals on mine, sounds awesome. My neighbor not knowing I had changed them called and asked what I had done to make the Hertiage sound so much better. I talked with the local HD shop about problems of putting the V&H on and not doing anything with the computer. Again I was told that unless I put the true duals on  the computer would compensate for the different mufflers. They have been on for 3 weeks now and there has been no problems. I had put SE's on my 03 RoadKing and rode it for 3 years with no problems. There maybe a gain in performance by remapping the computer but I'm not sure it's something you'd be able to notice. Unlike a carb a FI bike can adjust within limits to changes in the intake and or exhaust.

On my 03 FLHRSEI2, I went with Rinehardts (true duals) and rode bike for a month or so and a friend asked if I used the SERT or Power Commander and I said I had not used either. My friend cautioned me about the 103 running lean. I bought the SERT and had biked Dyno's same time and sure enough my 103 was way lean, just glad I didn't contuine to run motor lean.

You may be 100% correct. What are the VARIOUS SENSORS that the computer runs those PRE_PREGRAMED VALUES from?????? Seems you are saying that it can change within programed valves.

Go to the V-Twin Forum http://www.v-twinforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60576 and check out this thread in their V-Twin: Engine Mods.

The injection system H-D currently uses has an engine temp sensor mounted on the front head, an intake air temp sensor mounted in the throttle body, a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor in the throttle body, a throttle position sensor, a crank position sensor, and an engine speed sensor.

[smiley=nixweiss.gif] I understand what everyone is saying. I have been told by 2 long time HD mechanics that unless you go to an exhaust that is really open like a ThunderHeader the computer will compensate, granted its a small amount but it will make some changes.
