I did a PGR ride in the middle of December. It was an experience that I highly recommend to all. Even though it was 35 degrees when I left and 38 and raining when I got back, it was one of the best rides I can recall. I definitely plan on doing more.

With tears running I to joined today and plan on being there on Saturday. Will be riding down from Lancaster to the meeting place, Glendale Harley. Hate to meet some of you on a somber day, but I believe in what we're doing.  Dave

Incredable.......at a man's funeral!  Self righteous relegious extremesits........do they do that if the guy being buried is a family member of one of their congregation?

I've not saw anything like this at any funeral around here and I've never heard of it happening, before reading it here.  Does anybody else from out west know of this happening or is it only in the bible belt? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I am saddened by what has been happening because of this war. I see many of the same mistakes being made that were made during Vietnam. When will we learn to honor those who's sacrifice gives us all the rights some abuse without thought or care. Support for those who serve should not be considered support for the policies that put them in harm's way. I work for a defense contractor and see the young (I am older than the oldest Ship's Captain) men and women who serve our great nation. Each day as I do my job I try to ensure that no one of these brave people will come to harm as a result of my actions. I do not agree with this war, but I believe in our country and support the military. I restrict my "protest" to private conversations in which there is respect being shown for both sides of the discussion. I am no fan of this administration, but felt that Cindy Sheehan was out of line protesting the President's home, as were the counter demonstrator's. As a nation we need to respect the office of the President  irregardless of whether or not we agree with him on everything. And along with that respect there should be an understanding of what is in the public domain and what is not. At some point since 'The Great Communicator" we lost that. No, I'm not interested in which political party was to blame for that, there is enough Spin on this subject to wear out all of our tires. I would just like for us to get back to the America of my youth. One in which we believed in the ideals of the Constitution, but understood that to practice those ideals we also had to honor them and those who defended them. Went on the Jenks, OK mission today for Tobias Meister.  Good mission, over 90 bikes.  One PGR went down when an old lady ignored the police road guard.  The rider broke his ankle and busted up the headlight.  Procession was two miles long.  The UG showed up and made their disgusting remarks and drug the American flag around under their feet.  Police from Jenks, Tulsa and Broken Arrow escorted us on their Harleys.

You guys should see the envy of those police riders when they see my yellow SEEG going through their intersections.  They know only a radio can catch me. ;) [smiley=drink.gif]

I also joined Patriot Guard as soon as I had dried my eyes from reading the oh so moving accounts of their activities.

I may live across the Ocean from you guys but I am a Veteran of the UK military (24 years in) so I know about Duty, Honour and Sacrifice.

Patriot Guard are right on - how dare these so called Christians defile the memory of young men and women who knowingly put themselves in harm's way for the sake of freedom.

It is unlikely that I will ever be able to have the honour to accompany any of you to do your duty against these unpatriotic heretics but, in my heart, I ride with you every time - please keep up this struggle - we will overcome.

D@mn, I cry just thinking about the injustice

Dave, your comments from "across the pond" are more than appreciated.  I hope you understand the respect and loyalty most Americans have for your countries great contributions to this fight.

Unbelievable! I went to the website that BLM777 posted on the WBC. These are some seriously sick demented people twisting the truth of Gods Word for there own agenda. I can't comprehend how someone can get caught up in a Cult like this. It's unbelievable!

I would be privileged to be a member of the PGR, riding with honor and respect for our fallen soldiers and being an interference to these scum sucking pigs who are stench in the nostrils of God!!!!!

Thanks Crawdaddy for the post!

AMEN!!

I joined PGR this last week as well.  Haven't heard of anything like this happening here in Arizona.  Don't think the picketers would survive here.... guns laws are pretty liberal here.

The loony-tune Westboro Baptist Church appears to have finally pissed off enough people that there is legislation working through the state legislatures in Illinois and Indiana to prohibit demonstrations within a certain distance of a funeral.  It will take some creative wording to get it to fly past the courts, but something needs to be done before some poor bereaved soul loses control and kills one of these idiots.  It's a shame that any deranged moron can become a "minister" and then spew hate in the name of religion with impunity.  It's an even bigger shame that there are so many willing to follow these bigots and hate-mongers.
