Stage 1 and pipes for 2010 CVO Ultra?
« on: August 31, 2009, 03:03:01 PM »

Wondering if and what kind of pipes others use on their CVO Ultras. Currently I have Vance and Hines on my 07 (non CVO) but would rather not take that direction again.  In less than 1 year they bubbled, peeled, had to repack and for me they were always just a tad too loud.  Looking for something EPA stamped (would be nice), more rumble than stock but not rudely loud.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

New to the CVO world but riding HD full time since 86.
74 BASKET case, but it ran, most of the time.
86 Heritage (sold)
92 Springer (some jerk liked it so much they/he stole it
92 Softail Custom (sold and regret it)
01 Ultra
07 Street Glide
'10 CVO Ultra, Burnt Amber

I think most folks are going with Fullsac cores.  Check out fullsac.com.  "joeymaq"

I just did my fullsac conversion and  like a lot of the guys on the site I went with the 1.75 baffles that you install in your stock mufflers. They have a nice mellow sound and are not intrusive to your ride. Plus you get to keep the stock appearance.CAHDBIKER
