Actually I find that having a gps on board gives me the freedom to try out new roads and explore areas that I don't know.  I can head down any road that pleases me and ride all day.  When I've had enough adventure for the day, all I have to do is hit "home" and the gps will guide me there without worrying.   As Yogi Berra said.  "When you come to a fork in the road...take it".

cheers!

My thoughts exactly, now all I have to learn to program my own routes. There is a step by step procedure spelled out in the zumo forums. Just don't feel like frustrating myself just yet. I'll mess with that over the winter months......Fuzz

Kinda what I thought Rich. I should have a 660 delivered today. I was hoping someone in MV could have a short how to demonstration.

I have to agree with you on that.  :2vrolijk_21:  The wife and I take roads we would not normally take. We have found many great roads that way and not being familiar with the side roads in the area it is a comfort   ::) to know we can find out way back home with just a touch of the screen.  :cucumber:

Love to but I'm out of vacation time. Maybe next year..............If AJ is going to be there he's pretty good at loading the routes. He'll probably have his lap top with him.......................Fuzz

I assume your asking about playing music via the external speaker? Heard it ain't worth a crap at speed... but that shouldn't be a huge surpise given the size of the speaker.

If you can hear your radio when you're driving, you'll hear the MP3's from the Zumo as long as you're plugged into the Aux jack.  You're using the same amp and speakers, so there's no difference.

Have you checked the volume setting on your Zumo for MP3's? If the 660 is like the 550 there is a volume setting for Navigation (announcements) and MP3's on the unit itself. If this setting is in the same place as it is on the 550 go "wrench" > "volume" and you should see a setting for "navigation" and "mp3/audible". I keep both of mine at 80%.

I was just asking because I had a Pioneer Inno XM receiver that I could not hear very well even with the internal volume control all the way up, so I was making sure this won't be the case again.

Ok, gotcha. :2vrolijk_21: You shouldn't have any problems w/the Zumo then.
