This is the apple link for that info.  I have not done this (yet). Let me know how it goes and if i get a chance before you i will post results.

One of the things i hear is that you will end up with duplicate songs in your Library...one in oricinal AAC (or any original rip format) and one in Mp3 from the conversion.

unfortunately any songs that were purchased through iTunes are protected and cannot be converted...

I use Tunebite to convert Itunes to mp3. Program cost about $30. Itunes is now DRM free(not protected). Hope this helps.  :2vrolijk_21:

This one works well for me: "Free WMA to MP3 Converter (freeware)" from this page: http://www.jodix.com/

I downloaded this program, played around with a few files and it works great. Thanks for the tip ! When I got to the setting options, I went into the help menu and read some stuff but I'm no tech wizard and it's going over my head. I'm wondering what you've found to be the best settings for a bike cd with good stereo sound.

The default settings will convert my music to an MP3 Bitrate of 192 kbps, a Sample Rate of 44100 HZ and the Channel Mode to "Joint Stereo". Most of my music was downloaded at 192 kbps so the files probably can't be improved by using the 256 kbps setting, right ?. Their description of "Joint Stereo" sounds better than just "Stereo" but I have no clue.

HELP !!  :nixweiss:
