Anne and I made it a two week trip when attending Maggie Valley GTG this past Sep. We started out by heading south on 95 stopping in NJ for the night. we then continued through NJ, down the DelMarVa Peninsula, through Norfolk and into North Carolina. After an evening in Wilmington we continued south through Myrtle Beach on to Charleston, SC for a couple of nights.

At one point, someone pointed out we were dragging a wire...the trailer became disconnected and so we spent the rest of the trip without a brake light on the bushtec.

They took us down some great country roads past plantations

After two nights in Charleston, we headed south to Savannah. Along the way we stopped for lunch in Beaufort for lunch with AJ and Linda.

We get to Savannah, unload and start to walk up river street.

The next day we take a ride to Fort Pulaski, Tybee Island and then south to St. david's Light.

We return to Savannah and have to walk up to Paula Deen's restaurant...but we did not eat there.

The next day, we head up to MV but along the way, we had to stop at Cashier's Condiments where Paula Deen shops...according to Val!

Took me almost 3 months to find the time to go through the pics....the bane of the digital camera age...no longer can we blame it on the film processor.....we can now take hundreds of pics and just delete the ones out of focus or of pavement...the problem is, that still takes a ton of time!

We really had a great time on this trip...we got to spend a little more time with some great members in their local areas and we really appreciated it!

You took the ugly part through New Jersey. If you 'd like a bit of change next time take the Parkway all the way to Cape May and then the ferry to Delaware. I wouldn't do it every time but at least one direction every other time is good. Next spring I will even try taking the toy hauler that way.
