Hmmm, I had thought previous to this thread that the CVO owners and forum were a cut above the "other" Harley forums.  Having ridden for over thirty years and participated on car/motorcycle forums since they started, I think it's an accurate statement that it's sad when those who rack up thousands of posts have to make themselves feel good by berating those who just came aboard or refrain from posting "me too" to every thread that gets posted. :(

Berate? be·rate/biˈrāt/Verb: Scold or criticize (someone) angrily. Looks like some are just having fun at someone elses expense to me!!!!! (Just sayin')

 :2vrolijk_21:  Right on.  Post count says nothing about you and your riding.  Try to see the benefit in the board and recognize that there are some of us (unlike this guy above who seems to think that critizing you is "just having some fun at your expense") who aren't gonna judge you for your post frequency or questions asked.

Not to defend any of the statements or posts that have been made in this thread but there is a reason (IMO) that it is the "Humor" board. If you can't have fun/crack jokes w/on your friends then who can you? If you've ever been to one of the GTG's you'd know that no  (I hope... again IMO) ill will was meant by any of the comments. Hell if I got mad or upset about every wise crack that my FRIENDS on CVOHarley cracked on me I wouldn't be here... but I consider them my friends... they get their shots in when they can... I get mine in when I can. Take the thread for what it is.... Humor.

I never look at the humor stuff, but he title intrigued me and when I saw it was JC's I just had to open it  ;D

Got me wondering too - just what did I post 7600+ posts ago...

I had been on the site lurking a bit before I bought the bike. After a few days of ownership I posted;
"Is it just me or does the seeg bike not ride as well as...."  :huepfenjump3:

Took two replies before Brian yelled at me  :o

And looking through the thread I think every responder was a SEEG owner.
Of course, since I was a newbie, Brian Harry and Chip must have been ignoring me. And the guy with the funny hat never jumped in either  :nixweiss:

Please don't let one little thread in the humor section alter your view.  Members on this forum (unlike any of the others that I have/am a member on) get together and ride together often, sometimes crossing state lines and international boundries to do so.  Come on out and get to know some of these people then form an educated opnion.....we're really a pretty accepting and helpful bunch here. :2vrolijk_21:

JC is right on here.

There are a lot of bike forums - I only belong to one
There are a lot of camping forums and I only belong to one
There are a lot of truck forums, I belong to 3, but soon will only use one (BTW, thanks for the comment JC)

So we poke fun at - ride - chide and criticize, but it is all good  :2vrolijk_21:
