TOUR WITH AUTHORITY ABOARD THE 2007 SCREAMIN’ EAGL
« on: July 14, 2006, 01:49:38 PM »

Milwaukee, Wis. (July 14, 2006) - Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) offers touring riders thrilling performance and unmatched luxury in 2007 with the introduction of the FLHTCUSE2 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Powered by a new Twin Cam 110 engine paired with the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, the Screamin’ Eagle Ultra will roll down the highway with authority. Styling is updated with a new paint scheme and the new Ironside controls collection, while new convenience features include electric luggage locks and a navigation system.
The Harley-Davidson CVO program creates limited-production, exclusive motorcycles produced by teams of technicians in a special assembly area at the Harley-Davidson plants in York, Pa., and Kansas City. Approximately 4,100 examples of the 2007 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra will be assembled at the York Vehicle Operations facility. The suggested U.S. retail price for the 2007 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is $33,495 ($33,595) in California).

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is powered by largest-displacement production engine ever offered by Harley-Davidson, the 110-cid (1800cc) Twin Cam 110, a high-performance V-Twin engine that delivers 115 ft. lbs. of torque at 3000 rpm. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) is standard on the Twin Cam 110, as is a custom oil cooler with chrome cover, and chrome cross-over dual exhaust with four-inch touring mufflers. The engine is mated to a new 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for lower cruising rpm in top gear. The powertrain is finished in black powdercoat with chrome covers.

Other new features of the 2007 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra include an electric locking system for the leather-covered Tour-Pak luggage and saddlebags, activated by a switch on the dash. The new chrome-and-rubber Ironside accessories collection includes hand grips, rider and passenger footboards, shift pegs and brake pedal pad, and highway pegs. New adjustable mounts for the passenger footboards can be placed in multiple positions for a more comfortable ride. The passenger intercom outlet has been moved to a convenient location on the left speaker pod.

The GPS-based Advanced Audio Navigation System is now standard equipment on the Screamin’ Eagle Ultra, part of the 40-watt-per-channel Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon that also includes AM/FM/Weather Band/CB/Intercom, a single disc CD/MP3 player, and 150-channel digital XM Satellite radio with three months of introductory service included.

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is based on the Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide, and offers all of the premium touring amenities of that model. In addition to a host of chrome and billet accessories, special features include a leather-covered Tour-Pak with LED interior lighting, a luggage rack and a leather lumbar-support passenger backrest. The Screamin’ Eagle rolls on standard Ultra Classic Electra Glide suspension and Chrome 9-Spoke Cast Aluminum wheels. All trim is removed from the front fender, and a lightly smoked low windshield completes this bike. Rider and passenger accommodations include a custom leather heated touring seat and heated hand grips. Instruments with spun-aluminum faces are mounted below a custom black-leather inner fairing pad with chrome trim.

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra will be offered in three exclusive color combinations: Lightning Blue Pearl and Midnight Pearl, Black Ice and Electric Orange, and Light Candy Cherry and Black Ice, all with a Pearl accent. The vented lower fairings and inner fairing and switch panel are color-matched to the selected paint scheme. A Harley-Davidson Smart Security System with Smart Siren, an indoor storage cover with CVO logo, and a commemorative CVO key in a presentation box are also included.

Features of the 2007 FLHTCUSE Screamin’ Eagle Ultra include:

Earlier you couldn't (at least I couldn't find it), but they are updating it constantly. You are right they do look much better in person. I looked at pictures of my bike for nine months, and it looked a lot different (brighter/more orange) when I got it.

I guess Harmon/Kardon is back again . . . and so is Orange and Black!

Seems so, but at least intially it appers that it is with some difference.  The few new radio accessories listed in the P&A section now have separate listings for pieces that work with the 06 Harmon Kardon radios and the same accessory to work with the 07 radio.  So first impression is something consequential enough to require at least different accessory harnesses got changed.  Of equal consequence (for the crowd of pre-existing riders) is that there is still no option presented for the new radio (06 or 07) as a retrofit accessory in the 05 and earlier bikes though.  So I guess they still won't fit or work.  Too bad someone hasn't figured that out  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] .

Congrats Magoo.  Of all of the new releases that would definitely be my favorite of the lot.  Second place wouldn't even be a close second.  Might change when you see them in person in the sunlight.  But in the pics you're getting the pick of the litter. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

.. it does not work... the conversion is REALLY too expensive and hard to be completed, and no official dealer will ever recognize the warranty... I always buy thru the internet pieces and accessories for all my bikes but is impossible an entire one... I have been in Texas last spring... when I saw at Barnett's some brand new CVO at prices that here are unbelievable for used standard I collapsed... :-[

It's always fun to dream though.  How about 800 World Cup Champion Shirts equals on CVO?

Wow, if you thought Barnett’s were cheap compared to your prices in Italy scooter prices are really high over there. :o :( Barnett's is known to mark up prices on there bikes considerably.

We did an auction in Phoenix for Bike Week last year and Barnett's had a lot of bikes there.  I couldn't believe what they wanted for an 04 SEEG, more than I paid for my 05 new.

yep, I was told about that.. but he was selling his own (1000 miles) used Street Glide, powered up and fully loaded with all possible stuff at 20k bucks... here in italy u can buy a 2 year electra standard with lot of miles and no accessories at the same amount... consider that with my friends I always buy apparel and accessories from a guy in Orlando, the average percentage I save after taxes, deliveries and all other expenses is 52%!!!!! and with this exchange rate is even cheaper... the only matter is that I usually don't save the half, I buy the double eheheee  :P

anyway don t wanna terrorize u.. Italy is nice and if u wanna come here there r lot of nice things to do.... ;)

sure, I ll post some of the best photos of our rides...
the best are of course on alps (beautiful landscapes and roads overlooking mountains and peaks)  and on the seaside... Our chapter has 200 members and was the first founded in Italy as the Harley phenomenon in Italy was born here in a small shop that today is our big dealer...

in the meantime here is the link to our chapter website

www.milanochapter.com

in the section DIARIO (Diary) there are lots of stories  and a gallery for each of them

really hope to see some of you in Milan in the next future...

Ciaoo

Paolo...that would be awesome to see the Alps on a bike...maybe one of these days I will be able to come over and rent/ride.  Meanwhile, it will be nice to see photos you take with your buddies while riding.  I've got a Ducati Multi 1000DS...great bike...have always loved Ducs, but you just don't see a lot of them around here.  The HD and the Duc are two totally different riding experiences, but both of them are good!!!   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
