2011 SG Audio Questions

I'm wanting to upgrade the audio on my 11 SG.  I dont care for anything wild and extreme, i just want to be able to hear it going highway speeds.  The stock HK is starting to give up the ghost.  I want to use the Soundstream, keep all 4 of my front speakers, fairing and lowers, and possibly add 2 more in the lids.  *Edit- i plan to upgrade the amp and speakers, i just mean i want to keep the same locations and quantities.

1.  If i rip out all the stock stuff, does the plug that is currently plugged into the HK radio fit and power the new Soundstream without any other adapters? 

2.  Anyone care to recommend some mid level speaker and amp setups?
