Any info from others that have plowed the way and have some ideas on mounting or locations of equipment please toss it in.
Thanks,

Hey Mark! [smiley=2vrolijk_09.gif]

Thought I would throw my .02 in. I have been following this thread and there are some cool helmet cams out there. Problem is they have a pretty good price tag that goes along with it. Now I saw and liked the one that Jock posted because it was a tad smaller camera than what I use. But my question is this. Why spend all that money when you don't need to???? I would rather put it to some more chrome or horse power! Know what I mean?

Now I would like to take full credit for the design of this helmet cam and mount but I can't. My buddy from Potts Camp Mississippi came up with the idea and I put it together. When looking for mount I got the idea from NASA and the last shuttle run. Cost is .99 if you buy it from Wally World. I have used a chrome mount from home depot but that cost around $3.99 if I remember right. Anyway it's an alternative if you don't want to spend that much money. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Here are some pictures (excuse the clarity, my wife is not use to taking pictures). Let me know if you want me to send you the complex detailed engineered drawings. See Ya and God Bless! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

JR,
That is to funny. I believe the reason the pictures aren't clear is because your wife was probably laughing to hard. BTW did you find directions for that mount in the book "1001 Ways to use Duct Tape"? That was great, thanks for the laugh.

If it works for NASA on a space ship it certainly can handle a little ol' cam corder! BTW my wife kept shaking her head! [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Sorry Don but paybacks are tough! I have quite a few stains on my screen and keyboard from you, not to mention that terrible feeling of tea comming out the nose! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=nervous.gif] ;D

Isn't that's one of those old MGM film crew camcorders!! I think I'll go with the small one. Even though that was an excellent idea. Hell you must need a bike trailer towed behind you for the battery. ;D [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Ya, that baby can film all day! I made a rechargable cable that plugs into my battery out of some old jumper cables! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
