Just bought my FBSE June 17th. Had to drive 7 hours from Houston to get it but the dealer took $3,500 off MSRP. In Houston the 3 dealers here ADDED $3,000 to MSRP. Go figure!!!

 [smiley=1syellow1.gif]Belive me I know I got a deal!!  Tried for 2 weeks to buy a plain FatBoy, when this SE came about.  Got the RED & Black one.  Have already added a set of V & H Bigshot pipes & did not have to hace the ECM flashed.  Runs great & the pipes really brought it to life. I paid a grand less on my FLSTFSE on paper at least.......lol. When I got done being upside down in the bike we traded ( a 1200 custom sporty with 475 miles on it ) all said and done the final amount 32,658 dollars...............so I left paying well over msrp, its all just numbers, they act like they are giving you a deal and rob you on the backend with the trade in, not much different than buying a car, they are going to get what they already had in mind for the product. For this very reason I am selling my 05 Heritage Softail Classic outright instead of having used it on a trade on my fatboy. This is the funny part, I baught 4 bikes from this dealer and they are the ones who sold me Heritage and accessories etc for 23,600 dollars ( it has alot of stuff on it ) 4 months ago and they tried to give me 15 grand on it in trade for the fatboy..how you like them bones??? They went with the whole well you can buy a brand new one for 18 grand etc etc etc, I wanted 18 on the trade. Also you show me where you can DRIVE OUT paying 18 grand and I will show you some swampland that is great for building new condos......stock heritage plus tax, dealer, destination, title will put you at 20 grand easy .........and mine has almost 5 grand worth of accessories and pipes etc. Anyone interested?

35.000 euros sharp here in Turkey. But we have very high taxes on cars and bikes.That would be 42 grand in us.

05' fat boy, grey with orange pin stripe sold for $23,500, at the end of sept. 2005.
i was one of two guys trying to buy this bike. thats $5000 under msrp. just goes to show you how much profit there is to the stealer. and if they are motivated to move the bike they will. with the cvo's they cant get their first 06 until they get rid of all their 05's. since there is less than 3 per dealer the faster you sell them the more bikes you get.

I think your wrong there, I know of two dealers in the bay area that had 05's and 06's at the same time. [smiley=confused5.gif]

Dude, ok i dont recall the exact details on how it works, my stealer explaned it to me over a month ago, i think they get the first one but after that it requires them to deplete their stock before they can get another. i know for sure that the stealer that sold the grey 05 for 23500 did not get their 06 autum haze until after they sold that 05.

Paid $2000 below MSRP for a Blue FLSTFSE.

I also paid 2k lower than MSRP, but they recovered it on the back end of the trade and walked out paying 32.it's all just numbers. [smiley=drink.gif]
