No regrets here. . . . .  We have one fine machine with the first year SESG.    :2vrolijk_21:  I must say the new 2011's are very nice but:  With the paint, graphics, lowers, and windshield, they just look like a stripped-down ultra, not a slammed Street Glide.  (Yes, I know that's what they are anyway!)  Hard for me to express my feelings but the 2010's just have a look that I'm still loving!  I'm personally not keen on all the speakers.  My J&M 7.25" are just awesome!  Most of the add-ons could probably be purchased thru the P&A catalog for those that really want them.  Probably for less than selling the 2010 just for the 2011.  Just MHO. . . . .  I'm a keeper at least for a few more years or until there are some real technical advancements.

No regrets but who wouldn't want a newer model.  I like the sound system (not lowers), the tank and the colors look at least equal to 2010's to me.  I've never liked the tank and high center gas door.  Coming from a Road King seemed like a speedometer plug to me.

IMO the 2010's are far, far more classy looking than the 2011's especially the screaming eagle design, paint, gold leaf striping and flames. To me it just looks like more quality work and detail on the 2010's.

I think the 2011 tank change was made to standardize the tank inventory across several models and differentiate the model it is on with trim accessories--a smart inventory management move.

I'm not a fan of the lowers anyway and ipods can be hooked up to our radios with a little effort.

So I still like my Candy Concord  a lot!!!

I wouldn't really call it remorse but I'm seriously considering selling or trading my Tequila for the Black & Orange. I think the MoCo did a real good job on the 2011's.

No regrets here and I probably bought one of the last on the board.  The only colour that would appeal is the Kryptonite, but all my toys are black and aside from them being a pain to clean they tend to wear quickly and the batman look of all black clothes and a bike is a tad too much for my showy ego.

Like many I've thrown a few $'s at the mods to make it the bike I wanted and most of this is add on parts.  I feel that with a 2011 I would ditch the lowers with fugly speakers immediately and the painted dash will be in for a repaint every season.

I've always bought bikes / cars on being fit for their purpose and IMO the spiced rum 2010 fits and delivers on what I want it to do.

I'm looking forward to seeing them out and about and what they could look like in the HD showroom the green and orange beasts are going to be knock-out.  Well done Moco :2vrolijk_21:

Last comment, I would have been pissed if Moco had brought out a 21" front wheel, apes and a 2ltr motor.

Cheers

The only thing I REALLY would like is the IPOD dock with handlebar controls which I can add from the P&A book for $400....other than that I'm good :2vrolijk_21:

Agreed... and wait... you can control the IPOD Dock and control it with the handlebar controls?!?

How hot is it down there?  It was 112F here last week (and every summer).  I've been riding with lowers since 1989 (my first Ultra Classic)......never been an issue. :nixweiss:

But that's a dry heat....  ;D

S. Louisiana is hot and humid! I'm still trying to figure out why I live here. Summer temps average 93-95 with the low in the mid to upper 70s. I've never owned a bike with lowers but my friends who do have them usually pull them off.

Yep....on the 2011's...or you could buy the module for the radio to add it on for the older bikes

My 2010 has only 450 miles on it, so I was very nervous when the 2011's came out.  Looks like some cool features but at an added cost.  Not a big fan of the lowers, so no real value add there for me.  Its about time they did something with the stereo.  I am wondering if its worth it or not considering the cost of the Biketronics amp and 6.5" speakers I installed.

I like the ipod system but $400 for HD cable seems crazy.  I found this searching on the web for a lot less.  Looks like the same thing to me.

http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/ipodcableforharley.html

52" long, looks like maybe it could be in the saddle bag like the HD.

Maybe the same cable????

Also found a cool handle bar ipod mount if anyone's interested.  Cheap.
