need some help folks
« on: June 27, 2012, 11:28:11 AM »

hey y'all
as i was reading the thread on removing my lowers, i discovered that the plugs for the wiring was never in my bike, when delivered. Even though when i went back to the local MOCO and told them, and we checked the delivery sheet, which by the way, was never filled out, they said it was with the bike.  :confused5: SO, i can't find a part number any where for these caps. can anyone help me out?  :confused5: I want to remove the lowers, but don't want to let the wires be exposed.
thanks

Looking at the packing list looks like the part number for the kit is PN 25700177 Weather Cap Kit.

That would include the two for the saddle bag speakers and the one for the front speakers.

Tried searching on the HD site and Lake Shore with no results.

According to the installation sheets for the Boom Audio kit, the Weather Cap Kit is not sold separately.  oldnavydude, I'd suggest telling that dealer to get off his dead azz and contact H-D for a replacement.  Don't ask the parts counter guy or the service writer, talk to the general manager or dealer.  This whole attitude of "you bought it, don't bother us with your problems" needs to be fixed, but it never will be if customers just give up and let the crooks screw you.  If the dealer won't handle it, call Harley Customer Service yourself.  After spending $34k on one of their bikes, I'm going to assume they could afford to dig up a couple caps and send them along.

Mine in a bag too.  On the bag the part numbers are:
- Lowers 72533-06
- Saddlebag 25700176

Where is the thread on removing the lowers?

thank y'all for the great response. i will go back to the local MOCO and try them again. not getting my hopes up though. i've owned the bike for 8 months and i'm just now realizing i never got them. not having a warm and fuzzy feeling :'( the more i think about it, the next day when i took my lovely one on her first ride, we stopped at another dealer and the bike wouldn't start. had to be picked up and taken back to the original dealer. they didn't even pay for our cab ride back home :nixweiss: but what they found was the key FOB was programed wrong. but while it was there they had it all apart. i now wonder if they left the bag of goodies on the work bench. they would never admit it anyway.

Wow I'd be pissed. No way would I ever do any business with that dealer again. I would contact Harley and give them a bad recommendation. That's bs
