Thanks for posting. I really like the metal flake paint looking forward to seeing it in person on a touring bike. Interesting graphics, need to see it up close.

I like it so far. Just wished they would have color match the hole in the fairing.

I never thought they'd have put Hard Candy in a Touring bike... much less an SESG. I THINK I like it... but I will need to see it in person to tell. That much Hard Candy may be too much, or just perfect. Hard Candy is very retro to the 60s when a lot of us had helmets in metal flake like that. And on bass boats!

I wish they had pics in the Photos section of the other colors. They really seem to be focused on the Hard Candy Mercury. The Cobalt/Molten Lava looks very good, as does the Scorching Yellow. The inner fairing will be Vivid Black though... I would have liked to have seen it color-matched.

I see BananaMan's name all over the Scorching Yellow!

And it's a ShowerHead, as are all 3 Touring CVOs. That's nice - even though it comes at the cost of speakers in the lowers.

I see they've done away with the little sissy bar. I sure wouldn't want to be a BSR on this thing with nothing behind me... But I'm sure the P&A catalog has a nice selection.

I like the 5-spoke Aggressor wheels, but US $36,349 is a LOT of coin to drop for a bike without a Tour Pak, a decent touring seat, nor passenger footboards. Adding all those will push the investment up to the SERGU/SEL level... but you get the cool stretched bags and very nice paint!

Frankly, I still like Honey Badger's livery better... but I'm admittedly just a wee bit biased!  :-*

I'm also surprised it doesn't have a sissy bar, but I think it does have foot boards - at least it does in the picture... I also like clean look of the rear fender.

Not passenger boards... The SESGs have never come with passenger boards, only foot pegs, and 2015 appears to be no different.

It cost me $600 to get my passenger boards to match the CVO Rumble Collection boards on my '12 SESG!

I was thinkin 120 for this year also. I wonder how much better the bike is compared to the 2012 motor wise I know a few have had lifter failures etc. was planning on some motor upgrades on my 2012 this winter. but now im thinkin the black bike could be the way.

guess next step is to see what my trade is worth

It’s a challenge to create a super-premium audio system capable of both shocking volume and outstanding sonic quality. Design that system and then mount it on the most desirable factory-custom bagger ever built, and you’ve got the 2015 CVO™ Street Glide™ model. Twelve speakers. Two 300-watt four-channel amplifiers. Unique static and dynamic equalizers and a sophisticated midrange DPS cross-over to give music greater clarity and a more natural sound at all volume levels. Tunes from The Strypes to Shania Twain may sound better than you’ve ever heard before.

The CVO team has turned the entire Street Glide up to 10. Custom features include polished Aggressor custom wheels, extended saddlebags, Airflow Collection accessories from hand grips to muffler caps, a custom CVO™ seat, Daymaker™ LED headlamp and Wind Splitter windscreen. This plus all the Project RUSHMORE features, including an iconic Batwing fairing with Splitstream vent to reduce head buffeting and the Boom! Box 6.5GT infotainment system with Touchscreen and GPS. Top it off with an intricate paint scheme and the added exclusivity of four color options.

assuming no speakers in the lowers with the radiators 4 in the faring and 2 in the bags, how do they count to 12?

Well we are all here looking at them so I guess that means they know their market to some degree.  I will try to stay away from the HD shops for awhile as I've had it with the Bike from Hell.  She could go on the chopping block for something new, but not necessarily a HD and/or a CVO.

I like the silver hard candy.
Save 3k over a limited but lose:
1. driver backrest
2. passenger backrest
3. tour pack
4. remote bag lock?
5. passenger floor boards
6. 1" less suspension travel
7. heated seat
8. heated grips

Gain:
1. better looks...stretched bags/rear fender, 19" front wheel, overall styling.
2. more speakers?

Not sure it matters to me.  I'm thinking failed lifters, failed SE compensators, overall lack of quality is making me look
at the Victory Magnum.
Hands down the Harley looks better, but after 4 harleys I'm thinking it's time for a new set of problems.  :huepfenlol2:

So when we all go to the dealer to try to see one, how hard will the sales folk try to get us to trade up?  I am not sure that I have seen enough to justify starting over making a new CVO Street Glide fit me

I pretty much echo what most of the folks have said here.  For what I consider to be way more money, what am I gaining over my '11?

I would certainly be losing, a killer paint job, the tour pak, sissy bar, speakers in the lowers, and all of the custom additions and performance mods I've installed.  Oh and several boxes of parts I haven't even gotten to yet.   :cucumber:

Anyone who buys one of these bikes is going to have a beautiful ride, no doubt about it.  But at that price point for an SESG.  I'm out!

Just sayin...

I'm right in line with your thinking except I just have a 2013 Street Glide, with a bunch of upgrades that basically makes it a CVO without 110 or extended bags.

Really want a CVO, but to me a lightly used 2012 CVO is a better buy than a brand new CVO at $36.3k.

They look great in the pictures. I wonder how long long till they show up at the dealers. It would be hard trading the Kryptonite bike in but, the silver is looking good.

I'm not trading in my Kryptonite on any of these colors.

That's probably a good plan.  Plenty of low mileage used one's out there.

I like the silver hard candy.
Save 3k over a limited but lose:
1. driver backrest
2. passenger backrest
3. tour pack
4. remote bag lock?
5. passenger floor boards
6. 1" less suspension travel
7. heated seat
8. heated grips

Gain:
1. better looks...stretched bags/rear fender, 19" front wheel, overall styling.
2. more

Also loose auxiliary lights
Does the sg come with cb?

Basically yep!

I would like to know what the higher compression is as well as the new cam specs.

Apparently the higher compression is the same as last years comparing specs.  HD made the higher compression claim in last years "features" ad.  So my guess is same 255 cams.  My error.

I can't seem to get overly inspired by the 2015 paint schemes. Some super important items missing & with all the $$ invested in our current rides, unless you just had to have the latest & greatest - just to hard to justify starting from ground zero again. Will easily top $50K here in Oz when or if it lands. For those lusting after a new CVO Streety & missed out in the past, those CVO prayers have been answered. For me - my keeper stays my keeper for another year  :)

I don't mind the schemes, no colour matched inner fairing though  :nixweiss:
That's a big feature of a Hot Rod Bagger.

Well I suppose we can always buy an inner and colour match it, maybe next year the colour matched inners will be back.

The Inter Fairing and the Frame Painted to match was something nice they did on the CVO bikes not any more WHY ???  save some Money, They should be adding upgrades not taking them away.

The blue/orange bike has a color matched inner fairing (blue).  I saw it on a Youtube video posted by a dealer.  Here's the link.

I have a deposit on the first CVO street glide at my dealer and this is it.  Arriving in late September.  Not sure If I will take it until I see it in person but its begining to grow on me...

Odd, but it seems the blue-purple and orange CVO SG is the only one with a color matched inner-fairing.  In the pics, the silver and yellow definitely have black.  Looks like the brown one has a black inner too.

I'll pass on the bluish purple? whatever that color is trying to be and the orange. I don't think the Denver Broncos bike has anything on my Ruby Red. The only thing I like is the seat. I absolutely HATE the new taillights they are horrendous!

I'm new to being a CVO owner as I just bought a 2011 Kryptonite with 417 miles.  I was so worried when I bought mine because it was only a few weeks away before HD was going to announce the new bikes.

I thought what if they come out with a better one, I'm glad I went with my gut and got one I bought as I saved a lot of money with buying a used one but in showroom condition.

I'm sure Harley will default to the higher price.

Yea, I wish I could trade my 2013 CVO RK. For a 2012 CVO SG. I screwed up not getting 1 in 2012. Those bikes are really nice. The 2015 Yellow CVO SG looks the best in the pixs. I can't wait to see them in person. I wonder how much I'd have to come up with to upgrade?

The chrome rims on the yellow and black SG looks terrible to me. The bike has way to much black for chrome rims, the black ice rims would have looked real nice!

I like the hard candy silver.
I don't get the half blacked out forks on all but the silver.
Did they forget to black out the lowers?  Did they run out of money?
Reminds me of bikes with custom wheels where they only do the front wheel.  Just looks unfinished.

I like the hard candy SG this year also and if the deal is right I'm going to trade the roadie in for one.  I just put a call into a couple shops that are good at matching CVO colors to see if any are able to paint match the SG theme onto a 15 RG fairing and if they can I'm pretty sure I'll be picking one up to only convert it to what it should've been originally.

I find it a little more than interesting that now in the 2nd model year of the Twin Cooled and with the bulk of the touring bikes in the regular lineup, the MoCo has chosen to stick with the ol' reliable Air Cooled engines... But then again, back in the day of the introduction of the Fuel Injection engines they took their time converting all models over to the new concept.

At today's prices, it will be interesting to see how many die hard fans of the air cooled engines will choose to save money on the front end and buy a regular (non CVO) Ultra or Road Glide, and then get to work on making it their own "Custom Vehicle", so that they are not stuck with Twin Cooled.

I have a few friends thinking that way and wonder how many other current CVO owners are thinking the same?

I was looking at pictures of the 2015 CVO Streetglide's inner fairing and noticed a plug just to the left of radio.  Does anyone know what that plug is for? (Please only serious answers)

I also noticed on the pictures that there is a push to talk button. Is it functional?

Thanks

It's the rider's headset plug.

I have no idea.  Just noticed it (plug socket) on a bike at York last week.  Plug looks just like a Ultra/Limited has used for years.

No antenna for a CB, radio antenna is probably hidden inside fairing.

I'll pass on the bluish purple? whatever that color is trying to be and the orange. I don't think the Denver Broncos bike has anything on my Ruby Red. The only thing I like is the seat. I absolutely HATE the new taillights they are horrendous!

I was thinkin Da Bears!!!!!!!!!!!  :huepfenlol2:

You know after reading all the negatives of the new Street Glide CVO I needed to see what all the fuss was about.  Dealer just got a silver bike in and gave me a call (I have had a deposit sitting waiting for the right bike for 3 years and was second on the list for a new SG.) Anyway, I have to tell you that the bike sitting in the sun was stunning.  Did you note that the flames are also dark metal flake as is the inner fairing? Long story short, my CVO will come in for April delivery as no sense letting a bike sit in the garage over a 8 month Minnesota winter. Bottom line I think HD did a great job on these bikes.  The only doubt I have is between the blue/orange and the silver with the silver currently in the lead.  Spook
