i had a chance to check out the new breakout at the hd dealer today. liked it okay, pretty cool paint, some kind of metallic tape overlay that was pretty cool. but what i really liked what these new tank badges. i could see swapping out a plain boring stock one with this. i did look up the part numbers, 14100581 (r); 14100582 (l). it didn't say that they were restricted items. :2vrolijk_21:

I am not a skull person but those are a nice touch and flow with the tank shape.

I agree with Aussie, not real big on the skulls but that one is way nicer than the round ones that come on the CVO Road Glide. IMO.

Keep your eyes on ebay for a "14 Breakout for sale. Get the VIN, call a dealer and order using that VIN.

dont know that that is necessary. i looked them up in a couple of places and cant see where they are restricted. at newcastle they're app $78 each. list is close to $100.

Some have been restricted. Some haven't. You may not know until you try to order. I've tried to order a CVO part in the past that my parts guy quoted me and it appeared unrestricted. Day after I placed the order, he called me back and said it was restricted.

They will definitely have issues with the left side emblem. The right points the wrong way. Up here in Canada, the HOG chapters are starting to use 3 rocker patches. Where is this all going?

HOG patches are designed to be only two pieces, for a reason. How are the 'eh chapters making a change?

I know, eh!! Two chapters here in Ontario are a 3 rocker patch clubs. One in Toronto, and one in Oshawa. I spoke to the road captain from the Toronto chapter and he told me they informed the HA in the area, and they were OK with it!! Go figure? Family based riding club eh? 8)

The whole thing about HOG when it started was that the patch would only be a 2 piece. I'm surprised HOG let it fly.

It's funny you mention that, I can't remember the show, was a series on History or Discovery about OMGs and they were doing the episode about the Spartans, anyway, the reenactment of a scene were a guy is getting the pi$$ kicked and punched out of him and here the guy doing the (simulated) stomping is wearing a vest with the large Harley Owners Group patch on the back, I pi$$ed myself laughing that HOG didn't pick up on that :huepfenlol2: Sorry, didn't want to high jack the thread, I like the emblems :2vrolijk_21:
