Saw that. And the MoCo is nice enough to offer the bottoms, color matched to some, for $1299.95. Say it give additional storage space. Does not say how much space tho.

When they write "Bottoms" it means that you get the lower part (minus the top, and hardware). The bottoms are actually different in looks, when compared to the 2009 extensions, specifically when seen from the back. Since they are higher than the regular bottoms, they have a little more storage.

new saddle bags were once peice and looked way better than the 2 pice we have on the road glide.
yes there was more space but i hope they make a bag liner for this bag since i hate raw plastic.

i asked the moco if i could order the 1 piece painted matching for my se road glide and he said no

... and as far as "extra" space, well after seeing one yesterday at a dealer IMHO you just might be able to fit your rolled tool bag in the bottom and that's about all the "extra" space you have.

They are NOT open as far as they appear to be from the outside obviously due to a heat issue from the pipes.  Really the only improvement over the '09 SERG's would be that they don't look like an add-on extension.

Everyone that gets these saddlebags will need to figure a stand or hanger since you can't sit them down once off the bike......the bottom is not flat so don't know how they'll be off the scooter.  spyder

If you want the performance of the 2-into-1, but are worried about the gap on the left side, get the D&D Fatcats with the ghost pipe for the left side.  You'll get the performance and keep the double pipe look.  I kept the stock headers (for now) based on my dealer's recommendation and just changed the mufflers.  I'm happy with the setup.  I'll make a final determination as I get more time in saddle...

Length or Height?    They're the same length as the standard bags, but at the back of the bag are about 3" taller than than standard bags and then slowly tapers up to the front of the bag.

You don't gain a heck of a lot of extra inside space (there's about enough depth at the back of the bag to comfortably tuck the tool kit into the extended piece and it stays there nicely), but they sure look cool.   I went to a bike night last night at a local restaurant, and when I came out my SESG was surrounded by people looking at it.  Most didn't know it was a factory bike and thought I had done a heck of a customization job to it...   Gotta like that.

They should fit but it was posted earlier that it appears as though these are a CVO protected part - specific to the 2010 SESG.

Haven't looked that hard yet. I'm tearing out the inner fairing to paint this month, repainting the front fender, new Kuryakyn lid covers, new saddlebag latches and spent $300 bucks on some new HD shirts for work... I spent enough money this month.

That's a whole 'nother source of frustration. But there's a dent I have to fix.

Anyways, when I take it off, I'm going to weld up the inside brackets, grind the rivets, weld up the holes, and then take it to the painter. My bodywork's pretty good, but my painting's only fair, so that part I'll let the pro handle.

A long with the new "GREAT LOOKING" saddle bags, the SESG comes with the very attractive filler strip that has the signal lights and the cowling that covers the bottom of the rear fender.  Could this one peice be put on any bike.  It really, really looks good.  Real good.

Looking at a SESG yesterday, the bottom piece you are showing under the fender, sure looks like one piece that is also the filler strips that go between the fender and the saddle bags. 
The filler strips have the signal lights in them.  I looks perfect, absolutely perfect.  I just wonder if we could use it?  It would mean doing something with the old signal lights I suppose, but it sure does look good on the SESG and the SERG.  I am not sure that the RG is the same, I just was really looking at the SESG.

The verticle lights are not just turn signals, they're also run and brake lights as well.  The big light that comes stock over the license plate was just a license plate light however, I had Jim remove that and just go with the Kuryakn license plate frame with the built in license plate light.

It should, in practice, fit the 2010 Ultra.  It has the same width rear end.  And you're right....it does look awesome.  I'd love to have it on my 07 SEUC, but that would require widening the rear end of the 07 and I just think that would be too financially unfeasible for me...so I'll just enjoy the SESG and how it looks.

Stopped by the dealer today ... the rear fillers (with LED lights) from a 2009 Road Glide are not a CVO protected part.
Don't know if there is any difference in the SESG part vs. the SERG as they didn't have an SESG parts book handy.

Just got the bags home. I'll start installing them shortly, but for those of you that were curious... on the outer half of the bags, the front of the bag is 1" deeper and the back of the bag is 2" deeper. So yes, there is more room in them. I'm really liking how these look so far. I'll post some pics shortly.

Got all the hardware installed. Here's a couple pics. I knew the pic from the rear wasn't going to look right until I install a filler panel, but I haven't seen anything I really like yet, so I'm thinking it's time to fab up my own. I might incorporate the new LED strip lights, and do away with the lights on the license plate frame.

Someone in this post questioned the use of a 09 fender on a 08 and earlier FLH...I did it last winter. Was fairly easy to do. Cut the side of the fender off and narrow it about 3/16 each side and re weld it. Look close and you can see where we flared it after the grab hoop. Then I bought running / brake LED's and bolted them on a stock 09 FLHX facia...LED's are from ebay, search "LED brake lights for street rod" they are $80 a pair.  I made my own harness. I put a 180 Dunlop from the SERG too,  on a custom wheel. Finished off with a Kury lic plate frame with the LED's.  If you would rather use the 09 SERG or 10's SESG facia you could with this because the rear of the fender is the same.  You wouldn't have the Street Glide's lower tri bar light though

You can find the PDF installation Instruction sheet on the HD site on the product page for the guards. You will need to remove, keep and reuse the rubber mounts and mounting slide from the original mufflers mounts.  Also, remove, keep and reuse the two brackets and the male part with the D shaped loop that you use to attach and remove the bags.
