Change the stock seat out. It plain just sucks.  Looks good, but that's all.  No back rest, no support.  The day I bought my bike, I bought a mustang seat with a backrest.  Its a 2 piece.  So I can ride in a solo position. Get that stock
seat of of there.  Your back and butt will thank you.    :)
I have a mustand with back rest solo on my 03 road king.  did it push u forward any on the bike.  I am 6'4" 250 and the lowers on my 12 seems to not allow much leg room with stock seat now.  Works great on the king because of now lowers!!!! :nixweiss:

I did Corbin on both my now wrecked and departed 03 fatboy and 2010 SESG. It helped living in Hollister at the time so getting it custom made for me and the wifee helped. Can't say anything bad about the others as never tried them but Corbin works for us. We couldn't go more that an hour with the stock seat before needing to get off and walk around, now can go comfortably for hours or more depending on fuel mileage of course. :orange: :apple: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :pineapple: :pepper:

After everything I tried I bought someones used take off stock 2012 SG/RGC seat and now I'm happy. Waiting to send it to MCC for some upgrades and be done. The seat they did for my old Ultra is the best seat I've had to date.

Lucky for me my a$$ is a cheap date  :bananarock:

I've put my Corbin Classic solo on my bike and (no kidding) I prefer the stock HD seat!   My Corbin has ~8000 miles on it and at first, it was a brick.   After ~1000 miles, it was the best seat ever and the back rest was great for long rides - got me to/from the Grand Canyon last year.   But on the new bike, wow, it's back to being a brick again.   Did 800 miles this weekend and my butt was broken.   Back to the stock seat for me!   Am appreciated everyone's recommendations about other seats.   Keep 'em coming!   Thanks.

I went with the HD Road Zeppelin, I like it but the wife really loves!! The way I see it the less she complains the longer we can ride! Just came back from a 1200mile 4 day weekend and she is ready for more.

I replaced the stock seat with a Mustang within a week of getting the bike.  I loved it but had to replace the Mustang when a cat (or something) clawed it up.  This time, I got a Corbin because they offer several color and material choices for a more custom look.

Just picked up an "Ultimate Seat"  from Americade last week. They been in the metric market for a while. Now in the Harley market, smart move on thier part.
I just posted something in the Vendor section praising thier customer service.

Now have 700 miles on this saddle and i am very satisfied.

You can spend a lot of money on new seats and I have. I like the Mustang and the Corbin (I have both on other bikes) I was very happy with the stock seat on my new skunk. All I needed was a back rest. I had a local upolstery shop make me a removable back rest and re ulpolster the seat to look stock. Also added the stiching the the passenger parts. Looks and feels good to me. Every one has different taste and wants. This is just one of many options

I just put a heated Corbin Classic Solo on mine that I had made to look similer to the stock 12 SESG seat have the matching rider backrest, passenger pad and pad for the HD sissybar. It is very comfortable in this first 100 miles but moves me forward quite a bit from the stock seat position. I'm going to give it one more day to see if I can adapt to being closer but with a 35' inseam I doubt it. If not I will be posting it for sale on here. Retail was almost $1200. I paid with shipping $1100.00

I would like to order a tall boy seat for my 2012 sg. and get rid of the stock seat. I'm worried because the HD book says you need to remove the fender strips to install the seat but does not say that you can replace.them after installation.  Does anybody know. thanks T.M.
